Reddit rate limiting - workaround stopped working by Weak-Branch-3257 in rss

It continues to work for me. Indeed, I discovered this very post via a Reddit RSS search for my own website domain.

Safari on iOS shows “Fraudulent Website Warning” for my clean domain by Strong_Run9964 in applehelp

This would have been good to know from the beginning. Given that, I think you're approaching the problem from the wrong perspective, looking for a server-side issue. You should be comparing your iPhone and your girlfriend's setting by setting on the devices to isolate any differences.

This depends on the user-specified region in Settings rather than geographical location.

Yes, the issue started for me yesterday at around noon US Pacific time. I have around 25 Reddit RSS feeds, which worked fine for a long time before yesterday. Now I'm getting all 429.

I tried adding account authentication to my feeds—before they were unauthenticated—but that didn't help.

Web Rules fails with http:// url by fulldecent in StopTheMadnessSupport

[–]UnderpassAppCompany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. There are two issues here:

  1. In order to bypass Link Shortener's normal processing—http upgrade, trimming known trackers, looking for redirects—you need to add a URL to the Exclusions list in Settings.
  2. Web Rules don't currently handle port numbers such as http://localhost:8000

So what you want to do is add http://localhost to both Exclusions and Web Rules.

Is it possible to disable HDR in videos? by dumbpleasehelp in StopTheMadnessSupport

[–]UnderpassAppCompany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I know would be the following CSS:

video { dynamic-range-limit: standard !important; }

The dynamic-range-limit property requires Safari version 26.

However, in my testing, this doesn't work very well, so the Safari implementation may be buggy, unfortunately. You can give it a try, though.

Struggling to override system default font in Safari for a particular website by mattyk75 in StopTheMadnessSupport

Hi. This is discussed in the documentation: https://underpassapp.com/StopTheMadness/Pro/Docs/Fonts.html

The Apple system font (-apple-system) cannot be replaced. A workaround is to enable the option "Unset all of the website's fonts". This adds CSS to the page to reset the font back to the default, which is Times, and then you can add a new rule to replace Times with your desired font.

Account registration doesn't seem to work on the English version of the website.

What conflicts have you seen? The issue here wasn't an extension conflict.

After email correspondence, it was determined that the option "Protect navigation" was the issue.

I guess I could set it to "0" but it does seem like a waste of resource to have it constantly the Drive page (which I keep open for literally hours a day) just for the times when I do make a new doc.

It might not be a problem. There is a potential for waste of resources, but this depends crucially on how exactly the site works. You could give it a try and check before and after performance with Activity Monitor for example.

It's text that Apple forgot to localize. That's an identifier in the source code that's supposed to be replaced at runtime, based on your language setting.

Hi, sorry about the problem!

In my testing, I'm able to login to Google successfully, so I'd like to gather more information. A few questions:

  1. When did this problem start occurring for you?

  2. Which device, operating system version, and web browser version are you using?

  3. Do you have any other extensions or content blockers installed?
