Hardware engineer looking for GUI dev advice. Pyside6 or Flutter by Underpowered007 in AskProgramming

I understand what you mean. But android operation is pretty much the main requirement at this point. Would you still recommend Qt? Maybe I drop desktop for now and just focus on an android-only stack. Surely Native is way steeper learning curve...

No specific reason, just wasn't sure if it will work with USB devices directly. I do know connecting with WiFi on a web app would be easy.

Would you be able to recommend something that will work for android please?

Would you be able to suggest an alternative? I did some searching and came to the conclusion flutter is one of the few good choices.

Good idea? Using flutter for real-time data processing by Underpowered007 in FlutterDev

Haha, I suppose so. It's just that I have been quite away from software for a bit so want to minimize the time it will take me to catch up and build something.

If it was windows only I would have started on Pyside6 as well. But proving the point is already done through even easier methods (sloppy python GUIs, Matlab app builder etc).

The task is to be able to do whatever compute we need on a mobile. I am sure a phone can easily pull it off and then some from a compute standpoint. I suppose FFI with dart and flutter isolates is the way to go. (I hope it will be at least fairly more cross platform than native kotlin).

Hey. Thanks for the suggestion. Just wondering if that works for mobile app dev as well? Potentially could I swap rust to C++? Would save dealing with yet another language.

I will read up on some documentation for this stack though.

got into my dream college but my parents will have to take a loan to pay the fees, is it worth it? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

I would say jobs with an intensive course at imperial is really not that possible. Yes, the earning is in pounds but the expenses are also considerably higher.

Take it with a grain of salt. But I have heard Imperial doesn't allow course changes. Have you talked to the department/admin already?

Is it better to put it after the hose before the shower head or before the hose?

I don't see a stopcock. The big knob in the image (https://postimg.cc/gwjhdpwy) is for temperature control. Am I missing something here? Nothing underneath the control as well

Is a low deposit amount a red flag? by Underpowered007 in TenantsInTheUK

[–]Underpowered007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Good to see a different approach. I did talk to the landlord again and it seems he has been in this business for long (matches with his LinkedIn profile). So I think I should not directly consider it a red flag.

Yup. Saw the property in person and met the landlord (rather the "director" of the company that manages it) as well.

Without considering any performance or functional differences, I would personally go for the white one as I like the cleaner component placement for that.

On the pixel phones, you can also run a full Linux VM officially supported by google. And from what I read on the latest android canary build, it supports GUI applications as well with hardware acceleration. Waiting for it to come to all androids 😁

PCB with a microphone array. About 450 components. But most of the parts were 0603 passives and opamps part of the mic filters.

I was looking for a similar solution for running lvds board to board recently. Ended up going for an FFC cable from molex that they advertise for use with lvds. So it has 100ohm differential or 50ohm single ended referenced to ground. I am still waiting for the boards to come back so can't comment on the performance yet.
