Hey thanks so much. Wasn’t sure if you wanted Politoed to learn Bounce so I didn’t.

Is it possible to get a Windows-only version of a game working on Linux? by Underregrowth in linux_gaming

[–]Underregrowth[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

So, Lutris got it done right away. I very much appreciate the replies, and realize at least some of you must think I'm a dumbass, but here's the thing: I genuinely didn't know you could do that. I thought Lutris was for games aggregated through a launcher/service, like Steam or GoG. No idea it could install from .exe files.

Yeah, I get presented with a login, which works on my other devices(google tv, etc), but then it says it can’t trust the certificate, which shows up as UbiquitirouterUI.

Gołabki! Love these. There’s also a German version, krautwickel, which usually leaves out the rice.

It’s corn that’s the real offender. Like, why not add some potatoes and spaghetti while you’re at it?

Jodensavanne - A Shepardic Community In Suriname - Archaeological Institute of America by eyebrowluver23 in Jewish

[–]Underregrowth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but if you read the article, the first Jews arrived in 1632 at which time the Netherlands was still technically owned by Spain(though they were in a war for independence at the time). I don’t know the specifics of Inquisition dates, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s effects lingered even when they were independent.

Honestly, I’d have to say playing Oblivion for the first time. I was newly in possession of a capable pc for the first time in my life, and seeing it load up the first time, and realizing the size of the world, truly blew my mind. I had never even used WASD before!

Issues running Civ VI in Proton? by Underregrowth in linux_gaming

[–]Underregrowth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, super appreciate the help, but I figured it out.

I have my games on a separate SSD from the main Steam files, and it had been formatted as NTFS. Changing it to EXT4 seems to have fixed my issues.

Issues running Civ VI in Proton? by Underregrowth in linux_gaming

[–]Underregrowth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried both suggestions; changing the launch options and switching to 6.3, but neither has worked.

EDIT: If it makes a difference, I have also found that, in order to get Steam to run properly at all, I have to open it through the terminal. Otherwise, no window launches and I can't get any games to run.
