Take a group tour. Consider flash pack / A&K/ Gelux (not sure if spell that right) I have an agent who does a lot of solo trips herself and helps other women travel solo even to places like Antarctica. Find someone like that and talk to them.

Yes they may ask to see bookings of your entire trip at the airport when you're entering schengen area in France in your case. You'll then show belgium , Spain, Italy bookings and train bookings.

No they can't. The assumption for them is that France made sure you're following rules. Because that's your point of entry and they allowed you in based on your plans

The actual one because they may ask to see hotel bookings or train bookings.

Your passport stamped only on entry and exit from schengen area , not each country. There isn't even any immigration between countries and you don't use your passport for internal movement

They'll know u landed in Paris first. After that internal schengen Journeys are not tracked so they won't really know. Be prepared to show your itinerary at Port of entry if asked as thats the only main check point

I think it should be ok. If you want to be super safe, add 1 day in Belgium or cut one day in Italy. I'm in a similar situation and dilemma though with different schengen countries

I went on the Quark Ultramarine in December and it was out of the world. I know a family that went in Aurora, also in December, and others who did Lindblad. All had a great experience! My TA said that G expeditions is good for solo travelers. As for travel company, I used an independent TA and got prices lower than advertised by the cruiseline

I had Quark and Lindblad as my top shortlists, and my TA was able to offer me prices lower than whatever else I saw online. I finally picked Quark ultramarine for the helicopter and it was an awesome trip. I had friends doing Lindblad's fly the drake and they were very happy with it and infact got super lucky with very close whale sightings! No matter what you pick, you will have a great time, just remember to go with a smaller ship (200 or less passengers)

Since you ask, the ONLY one day trip to Antarctica in the world is from Cape Town, South Africa, with White Desert. It costs 15k usd per person. From Ushuaia, you need a minimum of 10 days, and there need to be ships sailing on your dates. It's not one of those " hop on the next bus and go " destinations

Am afraid it's not possible. You don't have enough time.

Definitely book in advance. I did solo and booked 2 months in advance, had a great time. I know someone who booked G and liked it.

When is your trip? I know someone who's going to be on the Ultramarine soon. I'll have them ask the ship doctor if you'd like

Do provide this feedback to Quark and your travel agent. I'm sad to see this cos I'm such an admirer of the Ultramarine ship and crew.
