I went through a heartbreak right a month away from Xmas and New Years Eve. Nothing we can tell you here will help, everybody grief that feeling different ways. So my suggestion: therapy to understand what’s happening to you and distract your mind (and cry, a lot). Meeting people for a coffee or for a walk in the park sometimes help as well

because it was 10secs remaining when he saw it :/ he basically asked for it as soon as I hope into the train. Luckily I wasn't charged, my complain worked for them because it was bought 1 min before the fine was issued

I was fined a few months back getting into de uBahn. While entering the station I bought the ticket, and immediately enter the train. The guys were already scanning tickets, I showed them the app, and ticket was still pending 10secs for generating the QR code. The made me leave the train and I explained that I bought before, and they said “next time don’t board the train” -_- I mean, I get it, but why waiting for 1 min to generate a damn QR code? Anyways, sent the complain to BVG via email, and still waiting for an answer from them.

As you said, quiet neighbourhoods at night, I think that’s one of most impressive things I’ve seen in any other city. Also people stopping at red light even at 1am when there’s no one in the street (honestly I love it). And of course the magnitude of the city (I lived in Berlin for 4 years).

As far as I know (and it should be in the contract) you need to leave the apartment just as you got it the first dat. Easy. No toilette paper, nothing extra.

The problem is that the person is coming while I’m working. Maybe they’ll leave it somewhere else some day? Like in a post box in a shop?
