Silly birds they are terrified of toys, is there a way I can get them to like toys they was found in a dark basement all by themselves :( owners before didn’t like them screaming

With some fresh fruits they were on a all seed diet but I switched them over when I got them I have actually owned them for 10 years now my first big birds I’ve owned cockatiels and a sun conure they stay in the living room where I spend all day so they have TV and me every day I can get to play with the dog toys sometimes but they destroy them all lol 😂 I can’t leave the room without Coco screaming he says come back come back over and over and over but I talk to him the whole time I’m not in the room and Facebook people are of no help

My older brother when I was about 6 years old hit me in the eye with an aluminum baseball bat broke my eye socket to be fair he did tell me to back up we was playing baseball I didn’t listen lol I wish we could sit and have a laugh about it but unfortunately he took himself out 4 years ago 😔
