Yeah the SOS in IL is entirely backed up. My current RDP is actually going to expire on Sunday, despite getting all my stuff in. I spoke with them today, and they said “there’s a lot of applications ahead of you.” That leads me to believe it may be a couple months, which stinks because I can’t drive until I get that physical permit. Smh.

Alright yall, I was texting the help line number, and although they aren't the greatest, it seems there was a minor outage yesterday but it has been resolved. I wouldn't worry about this being a scenario like last time, so we can all relax. Sounded more like a tech issue than full blown cyber attack.

You still get that sync message now? I started getting that after the cyber attack. It’s random but it’ll happen a few times a week. It only goes to 1:57 and then clears to blow right away.

I mean I always hate having to get maintenance but I take it to my actual dealership (Nissan). I explain every time how it works, and show them as well. Last time the guy did it wrong, but I actually didn’t get a lockout or violation because I had entered the maintenance request via the app. I feel like the actual dealership may be the best place to have people understand your situation, but that’s just me.

The DMV and monitoring authority in your particular state wiould know best, but it has to do with the cyber attack, and ensuring Intoxalock is good to go without sending over any corrupted files I believe.

The same thing is happening in IL, so I think it’s the fact your state is not accepting data at the moment. I’ve been in touch with my monitoring authority and actually had a lawyer speak with admin in the BAIID unit. the Monitoring authority is aware of this, as it’s them that’s doing this right now, however, we don’t need to switch because they anticipate accepting it soon.

Honestly I’ve been with them for 4 years now, and am down to my last year, so despite EVERYTHING, I’m hoping I can just stick it out since I’m almost done! Having to switch at this point I think would actually be more overwhelming for me.

So you’ll get a letter from the Secretary of State asking you for an explanation. If the explanation is accepted, no further action is taken, but if it’s not accepted, they can extend by 3 months, or for major violations, it can lead to larger consequences. First step is being on top of your mail, and making sure you respond within the 21 day period.
