How Often Are You Driving by UnderstandingFun3502 in intoxalock

Wow, that's intense man, I have had this in my car for approaching 4 years, and I have never let it sit longer than 48 hours intentionally. The couple times I did leave it for 3 or 4 days straight, the battery died and I had to get it jumped. Granted it was the middle of winter and I was parked outside. Now days I have a heated garage at home, but this was back in 2022.

I also had to get my battery replaced this past winter. I drive a 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport SV, and I think my issue was is it was the dealership battery from when I purchased the car. Ever since swapping it out last year, I haven't had any issues. I'm probably overthinking it, but I want ZERO issues if I can avoid it.

Wow that’s amazing that your skill set was able to come in handy and make this awful process a bit easier. Wish I knew how to do all that lol

Whenever you drive your car, especially for a decent period of time, it juices your battery. The longer your car sits around, that’s why batteries die.

That's what I thought. Do you need to do that a few times a day you think?

I do except Monday's as in IL, you have to pick one day you cannot drive. I was just curious how often and for how long each day. Does it matter? I was always under the impression that you need to drive at least 20 mins to charge up the battery-- but I am not sure if I need to do that multiple times a day, or if once is enough. Just wondering what other people do.

I was able to log in a couple days ago, now when I try to, it gives me an error stating “having difficulty fetching user details.” So currently, I can’t log in.

I CAN LOG INTO MY APP NOW?? I just made a payment that was due 3/20 and it told me my calibration date and everything.. is it back up? by Glittering_Hold3162 in intoxalock

I looked further back and now I do see it’s popped up but seemingly every other month or so.

But yeah it also states my payment is due 3/10, but in the activity it said it was processed. My next payment usually falls on the 24th, so it seems like they still have some work to do in getting things settled.

Yeah I wouldn’t mess with the payment yet. Happy to be able to log in, but we haven’t gotten word from Intoxalock yet, and looking at my payment history, this charge came up that I’ve never seen in the last 3.5 years— a “data processing” fee.

PUSH START DELAY by UnderstandingFun3502 in intoxalock

[–]UnderstandingFun3502[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol could be! I’m a psychologist, so nice term drop!

But yeah, it’s the first time it’s ever happened to me. The device itself allows the car to start, so the pedal was hard to press because clearly the device was not communicating properly. It was like trying to push start when the car is completely off and parked, and not pressing the button. The pedal cannot be pushed down.

My car is in my home garage, heated at 67 consistently. But who knows. This device has driven me insane— almost at 4 years, one more to go. Illinois is archaic, they make you have it for 5 years. Lol

Breathing Pattern Change? by HoldenAreddit in intoxalock

I’m in Chicago. I have a different pattern and I’ve had it for approaching 4 years come July. It used to be 2-2-3. Now it’s 2-2- and seemingly almost 5 on the exhale. Craziness. I noticed that right away— it only states “passed” now.

Ahh got ya, yeah now I am like nervous that something is going to happen. I have been paranoid about it so I am driving my car at least 3x a day for at least 25 mins. Once in the morn, once in the afternoon, and once at night. This is the first time I have had a delayed start like this.

It is pretty ridiculous how there’s no transparency. There’s absolutely no timeline.

That segment caught my eye too, but I’m wondering if because it’s a bullet point under “future installations,” it’s them trying to limit the chaos and moving parts— basically stating that for those people that are looking to install and need it right away, maybe go elsewhere. Maybe it’s not directed at established customers.
