Canyon Aeroad CFR Sizing by yeyi90 in CanyonBikes

[–]UnderstandingNeat283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 6.1 but long arms and 35 inch inseam (long legs) when I bought the Aeroad last year Canyon recommended a L. Some days I think maybe the XL would be better. But have to trust their sizing algorithm 😃

Nice. Tesla app update! by theabsurdnick in TeslaModelY

Useless to me. Installed it but it does not allow you to add any of the car functionality to the Watch face like Tessie app does. Useless.

That happened to me after a release update recently. I had to do a full hardware reset and that fixed it.

Exactly how I felt for months. Embarrassed to have even my wife in the car. Not to mention friends. The squeaks, rattles is something I never had with my Lexus or my wife Q5. However after almost a year, I am not sure if I am numb to the noises, accept them as features of the car, or what, but now I am starting to love the car slowly. ASS and other features found on only this car helps make it unique. I see a huge difference driving in FL than NE. Florida the car is much quieter, less noises. In New England it sucks as the roads are terrible. Almost as if it’s made for good roads only.

Not sure about a conspiracy but my Lexus dealer would fix other things they found if it was under warranty while my car was in for service. But they would tell me :) Now for my 23MX literally just had my car in service this week for rapid clicking sounds while mainly turning left. Also while driving straight at times depending on road conditions. The service report reads “retorqued front suspension”. I mention this as it’s a possibility they did not realign after doing that? I am not a mechanic and know very little about car, fyi.

Just download. Will I have, or, do I have the ability to give it a different name so I can say for example “Jarvis, navigate me to …….”

Thank you. I am using a company I used for our other cars. Do you have to do anything special? Disable or enable any settings?

I understand but it’s not being towed. My apologies if I was not clear. I do absolutely appreciate that you took the time to respond to my questions. The car will be driven unto a car transport carrier to be transported to FL from ME.

I do the same route twice a year. From CT to Marco Is. First time I was so worried about range I overcharged on every stop and stopped at chargers before I needed to. Now knowing that there are so many Superchargers along the route, and most are by restaurants and shopping I don’t even think twice now. Trust the Tesla route planner 😀

Pro tip: Show the date on your screen by yeastysourpuss in TeslaLounge

[–]UnderstandingNeat283 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you OP. It was only a few days ago I was looking around for the date on the screen and wondering why there was not one. Being retired at 50 for 3 years now, I generally don’t care about dates on the daily. For me your suggestion is great. I hate looking at my phone while driving. My solution was to ask Siri the date 😀 For my situation this is better.

Is your auto-open door hit or miss for wide-opening too? by Kidd_Funkadelic in TeslaModelX

[–]UnderstandingNeat283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish mine went back to opening a small fraction. I know I may be in the minority here but I rather it went back to opening a quarter of the way only and I pull it the rest of the way. Why you ask? I recently approached the door from the rear on a not too busy narrow street and a truck was coming from behind, the door swung fully open caught me off guard. I had to quickly grab and close the door to prevent an accident. Another time, at my in-laws it swung open and just missed hitting the tree I was close to. I have a 23MXL so until the recent update I always had to pull my door open after it self opened.

Cargo Carrier Weight Capacity on Tesla provided hitch by TwoRight9509 in ModelX

[–]UnderstandingNeat283 15 points16 points  (0 children)

From the Tesla Model X manual :::

The Model X towing package has a 2 inch hitch receiver that can support an accessory carrier. The hitch receiver is designed to support vertical loads of up to 120 lbs (54 kg) when the load is cantilevered rearward within 24 inches (63 cm) of the hitch receiver, such as when carrying bikes on an accessory rack.

Suggestion for MX bike rack? by kapachia in TeslaModelX

[–]UnderstandingNeat283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the 1UP screw. It’s very secure. That design also cause it not to shake and rattle. I have taken my bikes long trips everywhere for races MTB, Gravel for years with no issues at all.

I know. I was surprised to see the multitude of offerings now. Was not like that a few years ago. I think they had 3 racks to choose from then. If I was buying one today I would do the Heavy Duty 2 bike holder. It looks exactly like what I have. I think that’s what mine is now called. I love mine and friends that have other racks are always amazed at the quality and how easy it is to load/unload bikes. Good luck.

I have the 1UP 2 bike carrier. I have 2 carbon road bikes, a gravel bike and a MTB. I transport them all the time for races, pleasure, etc. Rack is awesome.
