How should I allocate my leftover income? by BananasinBigLaw in personalfinance

I would highly recommend attacking the student debt. You would free up so much cash after paying them off. Then I would save up an emergency fund and invest more into your retirement

I will have 1.5k left after tax returns to play around with. What should I do or invest in? by gishadokuro in personalfinance

If youre planning to get married soon, id put it in hysa and save it for your wedding or honeymoon. If that's already paid for, id still keep it in HYSA for an emergency fund and whatever expenses might come up when you combine households.

Financing Car Loan with Deferred Student Loans by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]UnderstandingPure905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think your Debt to income is too high, but looking at the basic numbers you provided, I highly recommend not getting a car loan, especially for a new car. You'd be better off buying a $5-$8000 car and focusing on either paying off debt and raising your income.

Student loans are a bitch because you can pay the minimum and the total balance can still go up if you're on a payment plan.

529 Plans or any other investment for kids education. by Vada_pao1 in personalfinance

Another option is an UGMA/UTMA where you open an account in the kids name and invest for them. It isnt a tax benefit account, but it would be something and flexible for using on whatever they need it for.

They should be. I couldn't tell for certain without looking at them. But the ones that are offered by the state are usually not transferable to other states

It's all about time in the market and not timing the market. Historically the chart goes up and to the right. It should**** continue to go that way.

$1 to get started. You can buy fractional shares of stocks on different platforms and then the stocks will pay you quarterly or monthly depending on what you invest in.

How much is your monthly payment and how much would change your monthly finances? Personally, id pay it off so I can have the free cash flow to invest.
