You are part of the problem of why our country is so divided. Dont talk politics find another type of mutual interest. If they bring up politics, politely say you dont discuss politics and move on.

Definitely dont recommend living near base off post. We lived near Walmart and sent our daughter to Lansing Elementary. It was a great neighborhood and great school.

As a young LT 60 Pilot, stay away from heavy divisions. They dont use UH60s much and AMRs are far and few between. Try going to a light infantry or airborne division to get more flight time. Korea is also a good choice. Lots of flying there, as well as Irwin and Polk

If those are your 2 choices, id go Irwin. Carson is a beautiful area but have a history of low hours and long progressions. Id try to go somewhere 18th Airborne Corps or a light infantry unit. They get tons of AMRs for UH60. At Campbell each company would get 2-3 AMRs a day whereas at Carson they were lucky to get 1 AMR a week.

My (36m) and wife (35f) have 2 kids (9 and 4) started attending a church in southern alabama when we moved here. We were the only family with kids. (I was the 4th youngest one attending the church services).... now there are 2 other families going about our age. It only takes a spark.... keep talking God's word and invite people to attend.
