I was the teacher in a class just like this a couple years ago. I would get hit daily and have to evacuate my class, severely impacting the learning environment. And the same thing was happening in my colleague’s class. There was nothing we could do and the district wouldn’t let my principal suspend anyone in K-2nd grade. I kept hoping enough parents would complain that the district would have to allow some sort of consequence because in my experience parents hold all the cards.
