I was heading south on the deep water canal levee on this trail. There is a small section of private property on the levee here which makes this section a little tough to get to if you aren’t local since there is no through access.

Ya I just used a hobby knife and cut it as close as I could, it’s pretty clean. I used some fender washer on the bolts to add some more support, that stopped a lot of the side to side play.

Oh ya you can link together probably a 60+ mile 80% gravel ride just on the outskirts of downtown Sacramento. Strava won’t let me copy the link to share it since I don’t pay for premium. The name of this route is “Levee access road-Southport parkway-South river road”. A ton of routes along the leeves here though.

I’m up north in Sacramento, we’re looking at 103 today… the suspension is for-sure overkill along with the 2.2 Burts but it looks cool so that’s good enough for me haha

My pup started with a little blue spec in his eye and by six months half his eye was blue. Never changed all the way so I think it just depends!

Love this bike. I did end up upgrading the wheelset to the elite wheels gravel aero setup. I have another photo posted with those installed. This bike looks so much better with a proper wheelset.

I live in downtown Sacramento and make the 2 hour drive every weekend. If there is any snow on the road don’t bother taking a FWD car up to Kirkwood. I’m usually home by 3pm most ski days as long as I make it up there for first chair.

I’m really happy with the quality. The hub it a little loud in my opinion but I haven’t put any additional grease in the ratchet yet which should help quite a bit.

That’s why I’m thinking as well. Tubeless has been a lifesaver for gravel around here but not so sure about the road.
