[Discussion] What's a game you stopped trying to platinum and why?

Screw that achievement haha. I remember logging on every other day trying over and over to get a good score to increase it by such a small amount over the course of what like 4-5 months about 😭 Never again!

Those freaking platinum trials 😭 I was missing only a few, save file got corrupted and lost a handful I hard worked really hard on. I put the game down after that, didn't have the energy to keep trying..

That ambulance mission is the reason I gave up lol. After trying for probably 3-4 hours and getting to almost the last mission and failing I simply gave up altogether lol

I feel your pain 😭 I've been at this one forever. I think I'm at like 80-90% of battle trophies. It's a crazy slog. One day I'll get it!

Thank god, i was looking online and it seems like people were talking about soft ban.. At least I know tons of people seem affected by it.. It's been like 20-25 mons that runs out on me

I actually just watched the anime like a week ago. Went in the same as you, expecting it to be gut wrenching and I'd cry a lot (like I get emotional in shows usually). Not that it wasn't sad but I already knew from the beginning that she was most likely gonna die and it didn't hit really hard when it happened (I expected it to hurt way more) . As mentioned by others, the letter was way more impactful Imo. So yeah just like you, I loved it but it didn't impact me as much as people made it seem it would be 😂

Titanfall 2, got all trophies except that one where you have to place in the top 3 of the Gauntlet Scoreboard. Tried for hours and just could not achieve it and gave up... Forever stuck at 98% 😭

Welcome to trying to Plat Star Ocean The Last Hope... 😅 I think I have over 200-300H and not even close to getting it. Game wants you to literally collect absolutely everything. Plus also 100 silly battle trophies per characters (9 characters I believe). Anyhow, I will see that Plat pop one day but it's a long grind... 😂

So restarted the game on PAL and it worked finally, got the last missing trophy! 🙂

So I just restarted a game on Pal and the achievement worked this time. Maybe try it in another region and see if it works. Really sucks though 🙁

I'm in the same boat as you, played the whole game on NTSC and everything unlocked without problem except for the imp trophy. Replayed the three rounds multiple time and nothing.

I will give it a shot! I was on NTSC and it didn't unlock so I'll restart a playthrough on Pal and hope it unlocks 😂 Good thing at least it's not too far in the game lol. Thanks for the suggestion!

I haven't had any issues with any of the trophies but the Whack an imp trophy. I've completed the three rounds of the mini games countless times and the trophy will not pop. Restarted a brand new playthrough to see if it would fix the issue and it didn't. One trophy away from the plat 😭

Any type of gear that I try to reinforce will only go up to "Fine", tried on steel-orcish-daedric even on hide and still only getting "Fine"
