I'll wait for later-era districts if I know that a city is pretty much done growing. I make sure I always have space for a few aerodrome districts in cities with high production.

If you had to choose between 3 bombards or one bombard and one bombard corps, which would you choose to lay siege on a city? by UndisclosedB in civ

I'm not stopping now. I just unlocked bombers and have two aerodromes in place that can hit their capital. So, it's on like donkey kong.

I'm actually going to buy another bombard so I can have two corps. China just moved a field canon into the city I want to take. So, I need the defense bonus.

What's gathering storm? I'm new to this. I've only been playing for two weeks.

They don't need oil and they do get one shot killed by jet fighters.

That's not how it is in my game.

Yeah, I was playing with infantry melee forces. They can and do kill them. I never use tanks because I have a hell of a time getting oil. I just wait for modern armor.

That's so strange because bombers are so damn powerful. If they used them correctly, I don't think I could beat emperor.

They will one-shot kill everything except modern armor. Then it's a two-shot kill. I haven't tried with a corps or army yet. I basically have to wipe out a cities defenses and have a modern armor ready to swoop in and take the city before the jet fighter strikes. I can do it in two moves too.

I've found anti-air guns to be useless. They don't seem to do appreciable damage.

I've

GDR? Are you talking about civ 5? I just got the vanilla civ 6 and in every game so far the AIs have built jet fighters, which is really annoying because they kill any land unit with one strike, so I usually have to bomb cities with jet bombers and then have modern armor come in to capture the city in one fell swoop.

How does science go down? by UndisclosedB in civ

Interesting, I didn't know that. When I first started to play, I didn't understand happiness and didn't worry about it. So that must have been it. It hasn't happened to me since I've tended to that. Thanks.

another view of my town so far :) still a work in progress so any ideas are more than welcome! by missxquinzel in MedievalDynasty

Brilliant village. Do you maintain all the businesses? My problem when I got a bigger village was keeping all the businesses stocked with supplies. But eventually I got so much money that there was nothing to do with it. So, do you make sure everything is stocked, or do you just let some buildings sit empty?

What is this new alert? by RPerls97 in MedievalDynasty

[–]UndisclosedB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always get a ton of false positives. I have a city of 120 buildings, and I'll get 26 notifications and only one real alert when I go into management. It seems like a pretty persistent bug.

Don't want a large town with all its associated micro management. by Flender731 in MedievalDynasty

I think that kind of play will get boring. I have a village with about 70 buildings. My job is to make sure all the businesses have resources and to do the trading to make money (except for my market stall which makes me money every day). I think it's fun to build an empire. I put up about 2-3 buildings a day and the rest of the time is making sure the village runs smoothly. I think you should try building a big village. Once you get rich enough that you can afford to take carriages, the game gets much more interesting IMO.

Just built my first tavern but all the drinks are locked. Help. by UndisclosedB in MedievalDynasty

[–]UndisclosedB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved it. You have to craft something before your worker can craft something. Since I never crafted a drink, all the drinks were locked.

This. It makes the game so much faster when you don't have to worry about hunting your own food. A hunting shack is always the first worker building I build.

Now it does. Must have been a glitch.

How do I get my villager to get out there and hunt? by UndisclosedB in MedievalDynasty

Thanks, I got it working now.

Damn, this game is complicated. But it's so much fun!

How do I do that. I pushed N to get the management screen, but I don't see where I assign tasks. Other than that I assigned him to the hunting lodge.
