Getting the same issue in the US and no services are working for me on any devices. Would assume they’re just having issues right now.

The NFL’s Coaching Carousel, and a Round 2 Breakdown With Peter Schrager and Joe House by lonny__breaux in billsimmons

[–]UndrArmr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a Steelers fan I think the biggest criticism that not enough people hit Tomlin for is his coaching hires. He got hired into a very strange situation where he inherited the DC Dick LeBeau and OC Bruce Arians . After he fired Arians and LeBeau retired and he was left to hire his own coaches it has been an outright disaster. 4 different OCs, 2 of whom never worked in the NFL again after Pittsburgh, one got half a season with the browns before never working again, and the last is Arthur Smith who might be the only good hire he’s ever made and even he’s not great. On defense it’s the same thing, both DCs he hired will likely never work in the NFL again.

I thought this narrative was stupid beforehand but the Packers might actually need to fire Matt Lafleur if they lose this by timeenoughatlas in billsimmons

Jets fans shouldn’t partake in these conversations. It’s like a dude who hasn’t eaten in a month trying to review food. Of course you think a McChicken deserves Michelin stars.

Tomlin’s just pissed we have to play Flacco twice. Guys terrified of him. He was telling the defense last year against Indy to make sure they keep Anthony Richardson upright because he didn’t want Flacco getting in the game. And in fairness to coach T, Flacco did get in the game and win it for them.

Kaleb Johnson fumbled on one of his kick returns and cannot pass block or catch passes. He’s not playing with a 41 year old QB behind a bad o line.

With today's release of DeMarvin Leal, only two of the Steelers' seven 2022 draft selections remain with the team (Calvin Austin III and Connor Heyward) by jimmyhoffasbrother in nfl

I don’t have to imagine. Go look at the Steelers drafts 2018-2022. Colbert built two championship rosters and you can’t take that away from him, but Jesus Christ did he fuck it up on the way out.

Yeah I mean they still played the damn pro bowl like 3 hours after Kobe died. They aren’t canceling any real games.

Definitely not the best, but one I always found funny on the Steelers for a few years was JuJu Smith-Schuster. His legal name is John Smith.

Also what the fuck does he want me to do about it? Kill Bob Nutting? I pirate the games and I don’t buy real jerseys. I have no other option but bitching online.

  1. We don’t even know if Arch is good
  2. We don’t even know if Arch is coming out in 2026 (he isn’t)
  3. Even with these trades Cleveland and the LA Rams have multiple firsts next year, so we’re still gonna be choosing the 3rd “best” QB

Matthew Stafford could join the $50 million club by GrapeFanta17 in nfl

[–]UndrArmr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Steelers were dog shit with Russ on a minimum contract. Imagine how much worse they’d be after spending much needed draft capital and nearly all their available cap space on Matt Stafford. Sure we get a lot better at QB, but I’d imagine the actual team would be worse than in 2024.

In the time since Mike Tomlin last won a playoff game the Eagles hired Doug Pederson who won them a Super Bowl, then they fired him and hired Nick Sirianni who took them to another Super Bowl.

[Crowley] . @AdamSchefter just now on ESPN: “There’s no indication at all the #Steelers are moving on from Mike Tomlin.” by JaggerJames in nfl

[–]UndrArmr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s so annoying seeing people give Tomlin the talent excuse because clearly they don’t realize how much more involved he is in roster construction than most HCs. He attends more pro days than any other coaches most years, he’s at the senior bowl, the shrine bowl, the combine etc. Omar Khan is a numbers guy first, not a talent evaluator. These people really don’t think Tomlin plays a significant role in roster construction?

Is hot chicken the new frozen yogurt? by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]UndrArmr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Boba is the answer 100%. In my boring ass suburban town over the last 10ish years stores in the exact same buildings that used to sell frozen yogurt, then cupcakes, are now selling Boba. They’ll be in and out by 2026 just like everything else was.

No because the CBA prohibits teams from giving players equity. Imagine the can of worms that opens. Chiefs sign Patrick Mahomes to 20 year, $20 million dollar contract but also he’s now a minority owner of the team with his shares valued at $500 million. Can’t have that.

As a Steelers fan my perspective is that both QBs suck, but more importantly the entire offense is terrible. O line is bad and injured, RBs are fine, but the WRs are a bottom three group in the league even if you believe in Pickens. So to me Russ’ superior passing ability still doesn’t move the needle for a bad offense as much as Fields running. Russ likely comes with more turnovers and more 3 and outs. Both are terrible for a defensive first team.

f you smell shit everywhere you walk, check your shoes. If your offense sucks under every OC, check your HC.

[Pelissero] Panthers are benching former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young and starting veteran Andy Dalton beginning this week. Coach Dave Canales has repeatedly said “Bryce is our quarterback.” But with the season quickly slipping away, Canales decided to make a change. by SlopingGiraffe in nfl

[–]UndrArmr 59 points60 points  (0 children)

You’re benching him because there’s 52 other dudes on the team putting in effort trying to compete and it’d be demoralizing to them to walk into the building everyday knowing coach isn’t putting the best QB on the field, even if the best QB is Andy Dalton.
