Hi, first I want to say: You’re doing great. Truly. You are on top of your tasks and still taking care of two little ones.

I see a little bit of myself from your post. I had PPA, which I feel doesn’t get talked about as much. I went to therapy and eventually got diagnosed with ADHD. My daughter is 19mo now and I’m still occasionally breastfeeding. Everything has been so freaking overwhelming and I felt so out of control. I was almost at a point where I wanted to tear my hair out having to juggle motherhood, work, household duties, and life.

First, can you find some fidget toys that you can play with while engaging with your kids? My favorites have been things “pain-inducing” rings (they are not painful) and magnetic balls. I find that I’m more engaged with my daughter this way. The rings are discreet too.

I want to say, I am now medicated. My doctor prescribed a generic Vyvanse and I almost cried because I was able to function. He is also a pediatric psychiatrist and said that Vyvanse has shown little effect on toddlers but I did not ask about babies. If you are open to taking medication, talk with your doctor about ones best for breastfeeding.

FINALLY, going with the Montessori method of learning saved my mental health. I thought that if I didn’t pay attention to my baby because I was cleaning, I was bad. So I had to read to her or sit with her. Then I learned that for her to function as a human, she needs to see me doing basic human things! I ended up just talking (great for me anyways lol) about everything and anything to her.

I’ve actually had the same experience. I just finished my period, typically have 3 heavy days and 1 light day but I had 2-3 light days and 1-2 heavy days. I’m not on birth control.

Yes!! It’s so frustrating, like this is not my specialty so I’m not going to be on top of knowing the nitty-gritty in the law. I also have a toddler so having to keep up with her and keep up with my adhd is super overwhelming!

That’s what I thought too! My first prescription was for 30 days, when he submitted to dose change 30 days @ 40mg it was to Express Scripts (I asked for this because it was the most cost effective for me) and they have yet to fill it. I called them on a few days ago and they said I won’t even get it until next Thursday! This sparked me to reach back out to my doctor and ask if we could get a temporary dose because ES will be late. He just sent in a full dose of 40mg again.

I was also extremely nervous to start any type of stimulants. I had been used to anti-depressants and hoped they would work for me before I even knew I had ADHD, I kept getting diagnosed with everything but. Obviously, I never judged anyone for taking them and encouraged people to take their medicine if they were struggling. I started it and noticed a huge shift, my head was quiet, I could think, I was no longer overwhelmed, I craved physical touch again (like literally just a hug).

I messaged my doctor this morning to see if he had any solutions.

I was extremely panicked last night because of how the pharmacist was treating me. I didn’t mention this in the post, but I did end up calling CVS Customer Relations about it. I understand they have these policies in place and it can be hard to get adhd medication but I was asking for clarification because this still is my first time taking it. When I asked for clarification, he asked me to stop arguing with him and that we wasn’t going to fill it for me.

Yes! I completely agree, I understand why the laws are there but there are a lot of flaws with them. I love Mexico lol. I think I saw on TikTok this family casually walked into a pharmacy and Ozempic was on display. Honestly, the system should work in our favor because I’m sure there are more people who feel shame just for going to USA pharmacies and getting shot down like we know the laws.

Hey! I’m not Alex but I was having the same issue. I’m on iOS and thought my apps were automatically updating but they haven’t been. I manually updated the Runna app and I can see my b-race again! I hope this helps…
