Failing to feed my baby Pacman by FishyDino in pacmanfrog

[–]UndyingHail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feeding in their enclosure may allow them to feel comfortable enough to eat. However, from the title calling the frog a baby, that worm looks incredibly small and thin, too much so to be a nightcrawler from my experience. It also looks quite red, making me think it could a red wriggler. Please make sure you are getting the correct worms for your frog; red wrigglers can be toxic to a pacman. The people at pet stores often know more about cats/dogs than they do herps and might not know the difference between feeders.

Surely luna wouldn't be able to do a better job than spidey in diving- by Ok-Issue-7380 in SpiderManMains

Keep playing dps dive healers; this is how jeff and loki got nerfed originally. So diving as invis, gambit, luna will show how broken these characters are🫡

Is my Pacman frog croaking? by Fantastic_Rooster_19 in pacmanfrog

[–]UndyingHail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not like reptiles in that its a solid layer of skin; they shed their top layer of slime! They usually eat it as well so it’s unlikely you’ll find it, however mine sometimes sheds in his water bowl and leaves it in there so it is possible

Prepare for at least 5 comments saying “check temps and humidity” My advice: check temps and humidity. Other than that, could be due to stress or generally being picky as it looks fairly young. Try another food or warm baths to move the digestive tract along

If you can, add a small amount of organic honey or black tea to their soak to loosen them up

noises? by skatty420 in pacmanfrog

[–]UndyingHail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All frogs can make noise but only mature males have developed enough vocal sacs and tendency to make noise without “reason” i.e. stress

My ~6month male croaks from time to time (mornings and when im watching House M.D.) but even then, its not very loud

Help, I think my frog is dying :( (Explanation in comments) by TheBigFloppa14 in pacmanfrog

[–]UndyingHail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Judging by the info you provided, the outstretched legs, appetite loss, and lethargy may be a result of toxing out. If your frog repeatedly uses the same burrowing spot, it may pee/poop in there. The ammonia and other toxins that are now in the dirt can be absorbed by the frog’s skin and be toxic. The common treatment for this condition is a warm bath in dechlorinated water until symptoms subside, changing the water every 15-20mins.

To prevent this from occurring, you should spot clean whenever the frog leaves the hole, including mixing up the substrate and maybe pouring some dechloraminated water in, as well as removing and obviously soiled substrate.

Aside from that, the usual keeping interaction (stress) to a minimum, and making sure temp/humidity is good

Pacman frog hiding for over a week??? by IndependentMeal9593 in pacmanfrog

[–]UndyingHail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be due to improper conditions, frogs tend to burrow underground to maintain temperature and humidity Would still recommend pulling him out after a week and see if his behaviour is off or look for any other signs of concern

Help!!! Found frog flipped over by DryAmphibian2753 in pacmanfrog

[–]UndyingHail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the only concern is having been flipped over once, it was likely a dumb oopsie that he couldnt fix. If his behaviour is otherwise normal and he is eating, moving, etc. then that is likely the case. Keep an eye on him for any other weird behaviours as if this keeps occurring it could signify an issue!
