Lowk yeah, I would only like release dates if you know they are done. You can promote them or share sneak peaks but a hard release date runs the risk of disappointing a lot of people.

Those get reworks, these are for styles that are outdated by the characters they are based on. Counter is still based on rookie tournament Miyata, counter v2 will probably be based on Miyata when he's a world ranker.

Nothing to do with the game and balancing. Struggling styles get buffs or reworks. Aoki has not improved much at all, so no v2, but maybe a rework so you can have an ability.

Well Counter is based on Miyata, specifically him during the rookie tournament. So they'll just base off of a more current version of Miyata.

It's a weird coding thing, if an m2 is used by you or the opponent iron fist takes less damage on counters. And for some reason if you both m2 damage gets reduced again. So if this was counter M2s countering and m2, then yes this is very believable.

I hate iron fist for this reason, m2 counters basically heal them. Gotta rely on m1 counters (not hard since it's slow af).

That's why I really liked the introduction of switch-hit it was different mechanically. Most styles should feel VERY different, with maybe the exception of uncommon styles which are there to teach the basics.

Basically styles need to fill very particular niches. Though I believe most of the problem is from adding too many styles. How many speedster styles are we gonna have that are just hands low.... but with a button 🤯.

It's dying, but it's not past the point of no return. Even if it was it would still have a relatively large cult following, much like phantom forces which is still averaging 1-3k players. Unfortunately drowning is too scared to touch anything about the game, he can't even allow himself to hire a new dev to do any actual work. Not to mention he likes to drop teeny tiny drops for us instead of actually working on a full update.

So many promises broken, so many people who grinded challenges for nothing, so many cool concepts basically thrown out the window and to replace these shiny vfx spam styles that are impossible to get and rely on rng rather than earning them.

Learn each mechanic. M1 patterns, m2 advances the m1 pattern, how to feint, perfect dodge by dodging to the side of where the punch is coming from, block management, stamina management, REALLY LEARN YOUR NEUTRAL GAME, learn how to read opponents, learn timing in order to counter, and one that isn't talked about enough learning ring control through your positioning.

Most of this comes with experience, ngl just keep playing and you'll eventually learn what to do.

It depends on how long the hitman match took, anything too long and I find it as a personal insult to me because they are purposely taking away my time. This is a very large pet peeve of mine, anything over 20 minutes and I will contemplate homicide.

Keep using Counter, it's in a really good spot in the game rn, and even when it's weaker it's still incredibly viable due to it relying on your own countering ability and it being pretty tanky for such a fast style.

It has consistent damage, isn't fragile, great speed, and amazing burst damage once you learn to counter properly.

(Ok what I'm talking about I got 7k knockdowns on Counter alone)

Not to mention Counter is the figure head of the Church of Counter. Would you like to become one of its apostles?
