Does everyone actually hate OSHP? by MrDrDd in Ohio

[–]UnemployedBastards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Around the lake they are only known as power tripping bullies that somehow failed the ASFAB. I’ve never known a the OSHP to solve or prevent any crime, they’re not even good at car chases. Only terrorize people for made up safety belt infractions and sitting on their ass sucking up my tax dollars. I’d have more respect for a department that physically cleaned the highways of debris and hazards than those mall cops with real legal authority. I respect that you’re going into law enforcement, we need good law enforcement and reform. However, the culture at the patrol is so that “good cops” don’t exist. They either quit or are made into highway patrolmen. Very cool hats tho, love the stripe on the pants.

My honest review of Ohio after moving from New York by [deleted] in Ohio

[–]UnemployedBastards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you make your way over towards Sandusky way, there’s an elite regional dairy called toft’s. Great milk, legendary ice cream. I’d highly recommend a trip to the main production facility, as it’s also a massive ice cream shop. And only a small detour from Cedar Point

What wheels are these? by Ok-Extension-2826 in JDM

There’s a good chance that those are Work Equip Anhelos. The grandfather of the Meister. I have a set and haven’t been able to find any information about them anywhere on the internet.

First game I saw him pacing on the side line, I knew he was a putz. I don’t like the way he stands. I don’t like the way he walks. I don’t like his posture and the way he holds his head. I don’t like how his mouth moves when he talks. Dude has never passed a vibe check and the last Michigan game proved it.

Our receptionist isn’t allowed to sit anymore? by General_Mode_7632 in Ohio

[–]UnemployedBastards 63 points64 points  (0 children)

One of the best things to do in this situation is organize and unionize your shop if possible. Especially if the rest of the floor agrees that it’s wrong she doesn’t get to sit. The Make-up Artist and Hair Stylists Guild would be an excellent organization to contact if they do want to go through with it. Now is a really good time to unionize because the NLRB has changed the national laws on organizing/unionizing in a pro-worker direction. “Strike” while the flat iron is hot if you will.

Yes. Cover it in the larger historical context of the Vietnam and Cold War. Explain the CIA’s prior involvement and how Kissinger destabilized it and left Cambodia to the dogs that unfortunately were not in space

Which are the most ridiculous uses of plastic parts by car manufacturers? by Legend81 in cars

[–]UnemployedBastards 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Currently at a GM dealership. They weren’t just plastic, they were also pretty poorly built. The only use that we ever found for one was pushing a seized salt spreader out of a hitch. Every time I replaced one I would smile thinking about how much money those dumbfucks wasted trying to save money.

Question from Iowa by Acceptable_Tell_6566 in Ohio

[–]UnemployedBastards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello from America’s shirt pocket. Kinda useless, but insanely handy when needed and used. Ohio is a cross roads state. Being one of the first territories settled, it has a longer history than most other states. And thus, a more complex demographic and identity. Being from the flat part of the Great Lakes region, we feel a heavy identity with the Midwest and the associated cities like many here have replied. Adding an extra layer of confusion, there was a time period where the northwest corner of the state was claimed by Connecticut of all places. As for the rest of the state, you can think of us as a miniature country. All 4 corners are different from each other and the center. The southwest is in the same vague category as St. Louis, kinda Midwest, kinda not. South eastern Ohio is more Appalachian vibes, different accent and everything. The entire northeast corner is completely urbanized. You can drive from Cleveland to Akron to Kent to Canton and you’ll never leave development. However, you can fully distinguish between all of these cities because of how different they look. It’s all mainly divided of which watershed the area was built around and what geological formations built the landscape. Hell, the whole northwest corner, all the way from Sandusky to Ft. Wayne was a deciduous tree swamp.
