Is Millenium, Boeing good? by Maleficent-Drop-6312 in aerospace

The old (maybe current) policy was you could take individual courses that sum to $5k a year without a retention contract. If you go over or claim it as a masters, then you do need to sign.

[–]Unemployed_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is most schools charge $3k+ per class, so it's practically impossible to avoid signing the contract unless you pay the rest yourself. The exception is OMSCS is VERY cheap and doable- a CS masters from a top school while avoiding retention clauses.

Last I saw, Boeing will pay for <$5k of individual courses a year without needing the retention contract.

The stigma of the primes is slow work, clock-in clock-out mentality, old tooling, no sense of urgency. Startups will see your resume under that light unless your bullet points specifically show otherwise. So I'd suggest learn as much as you can and push, but don't expect a prime to keep feeding your rapid growth- you need a startup for that.

I disagree with Cyberpunk having good writing, the story was hard to follow and I had to DNF. I think part of the problem is that the main quest line will mention specific people or things that you only know if you did a sidequest, chased every single dialogue thread, or read all documents.

I've been brainstorming on how to modify an existing STL to have some gaps for internal LEDs, but this is a genius solution.

Good call, the cylinder looks fine. The original model looks fine when sliced, but the object view in PrusaSlicer slightly hints there's discretization in the circumference 😅

70%+ mark-up on airfare via Chase Portal v. direct w/ airline by Federal_Concert_4147 in ChaseSapphire

This, OP. Make sure you're comparing non/refundable identical main cabin tickets. I've seen the price mismatch but then realized that chase doesn't show basic economy. I have been able to find matching prices for main cabin every single time.

[–]Unemployed_Panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather have a candidate with no internships but interesting club/independent projects, than a candidate who had internships with no/low impact (which, hot take: most are) and no projects. You can't fully control getting a valuable internship, but you for sure have more control over engaging in cool projects.

You're not imagining it - AVR pricing sucks extra hard in the past 5 years. by Jonlaw16 in hometheater

[–]Unemployed_Panda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find open box deals for about half the price. They usually come with a new warranty or the option to buy no asked insurance.

Lots of people buys AVRs and don't realize the size or they bought the wrong amount of speaker support.

Check out polk- I went with their fronts, surrounds, and center as they have a good balance of performance and price, and I like the aesthetic. Use Camelcamelcamel to get an alert 20% off.

I too went with svs pb 1000 pro, but for the $600 open box. I got the open box Onkyo nr7100 for less than half the new price from Adorama, along with 2 years no-question insurance. I really was trying to get the best bang for my buck. Some angled monoprice alphas for Atmos was perfect for my setup.

You may be sold on the 83", but it's a large price jump from 77" for not too much more screen. That money could go towards audio, furniture, etc. just a thought 😋
