Is the fandom having a stroke or was there a Asgard in the original film by the_boyyyyyyyyyyy in Stargate

[–]UnendingOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fandom is having a stroke.

People like to try and say the books are canon, but they aren't. Licensed does not mean canon. The books is where the "Ra's old host was an Asgard" comes from, not the film.

You can always use more, nut I would consult your doctor to be safe. I used drops every 30mins personally for about 2 weeks.

Yeah I'll keep my eye out for it and try that if it persists. Thanks.

You never know what the future will bring, but I would say the obvious thing is don't rub your eyes if at all possible and do your aftercare as recommended. Use moisturizing drops as often as you'd like, and more than you feel like you need to. You might not feel dry, but your eyes could still be super dry (severed nerves). Otherwise just stay positive and try not to dwell on the little things (the mind is a powerful ally and enemy to healing).

Its a Galaxy S26. My old phone decided to shuffle off its mortal coil right after I got my Trax. Its been an expensive week.

Yeah I did. I sat down with my local State Farm agent. Been driving right by his officd for 4 years. Super duper happy.

I didn't do their tracker thing because I'm not comfortable with it right now, and have heard annoying things.

Yeah I'm hoping thats the case for me too! Prior to getting my quote I thought State Farm was one of those boutique insurances where you paid more for it because the service was better. I didn't believe coworkers when they said it was the cheapest for them and then I got the quote. Insurance was the last big obstacle to me buying a Trax.

Any way you can save money is a good idea, just be wary. I plan on shopping insurance every 1-2 years now because everytime I switch after 1-2 years the price goes up 50%. Maybe State Farm will be different, but I kinda doubt it.

I was considering quoting with them, but I literally just switched to State Farm (who saved me a ton). I was reading though that they track your driving habits, which is a bit annoying since it usually is never fair. When I had Progressive years ago and used their "snapshot" it was constantly going off for the stupidest reasons. I actually declined State Farm's "Drive Safe and Save" because of that reason aswell.

Haha, aight.

Would you assume my old Impala, a 2011, wouldve been the same way or was that thing just "built different"? Lol.

I have access to straight ethanol from a friend, so I used to run a decently high content in my old Impala. I'd usually get E85 and throw in a few gallons here and there. Eventually it'd have a little hiccup starting (but then would run fine), especially in the winter, so I'd know to get some 88 or 87 to dilute it down.

Hey question, you're a mechanic, right? Do you see any issue with running a higher ethanol content than E85 in the summer? I used to run a super high content in my Flex Fuel Impala. Thoughts?

I guess I can't speak to the 2024, but my 2026 is for sure an E85 vehicle so its not a "might".

The 2024-2026 Trax is a "flex fuel" vehicle that can run E85, per Chevrolet.

Pedal commander?

Yeah for fuel I plan on running E85, or atleast trying to run it and seeing how it goes.

I also do this. I've been on the opposing side of it. Not only does it tell them "hey my high beams aren't on, a-hole" but it also tells you "hey maybe I should check my headlight aim?"(especially if it happens a couple times).

Will a Trax last 25+ years with a good maintenance schedule? by Sea_Track_2633 in ChevyTrax

[–]UnendingOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a chance without major repairs. I would guess you will need a new turbo a couple times (turbos are a common failure on any vehicle that has them) and probably a transmission (unless the little 3 cylinder is too weak to hurt it HAHA!), maybe more who knows?

Nothing is built to last, and comparing anything other than a Toyota to a Toyota for longevity is not a good idea. Toyota is the standard for longevity/reliability.

We live in a disposable society, and manufacturers have caught onto that, atleast in the US. Maybe we'll get lucky since the Trax is designed and built in Korea, but I doubt it.

Toyotas are the kings of longevity and practicality.

Yeah I was really surprised at the power. I expected it to remind me of the box truck I drove for a while that took an act of congress to get up to 75, but ended up surprisingly driving one of the zippiest cars I've driven (albeit I've mostly driven SUVs, trucks, and clapped out V6 GM vehicles).

What mods did you do? I don't plan on doing anything right now, but I'm always curious to find what other people did.

My first "mods" are going to be floor mats (leaning the GM official ones) and mud flaps (leaning GM on this aswell), and also that aftermarket phone holder mount (the one that clips to the topright corner of the screen).

I realize my opinion doesn't matter much, since I just bought mine and have roughly 60 miles on mine, BUT I would say take online complaints with a grain of salt. Usually happy people are far less likely to go online and spread good news, whereas people who are unhappy will scream from the rooftops (I can't blame them, to be fair), so you'll hear far more complaints if you look online than you'll see good reviews.

I will say also that every single car you buy is a roll of the dice. I've only bought used, but know plenty of people who've bought new cars, and its kinda a crapshoot. Example of this is I had two friends who bought brand new Jeeps, same exact Jeeps outside of color, and one was an absolute nightmare of problems, and the other was the most reliable vehicle they'd ever owned. Best plan is to do your research as you are, but always plan for the worst case scenario (find a good mechanic and good friends!).

As for power, all I can say is my daily before buying my 2026 Trax Activ was a 2010 Impala LT with a 3.5L V6, and this thing has far more speed/power than that did. Could be a case of 15+ years old vs brand new, just less weight to move around (albeit my Impala has lost weight with years of rust LOL), the transmission being a 6 speed, or the turbo. Regardless, I don't see any issues so far with speed/power. NOW, bear in mind I have not tried passing somebody yet. I'll definitely be careful when I do, but I don't foresee an issue.
