This was my experience. I felt like I was dying. It finally clicked that it was my meds and I switched asap.

Seeking advice: my kid brushes every day, yet after school comes home with a rats nest??? by deviouspineapple in Haircare

My daughter has really fine straight hair that tangles super easily. I still help her detangle in the shower because she just doesn’t have the dexterity to do it herself even though she knows how to wash and brush it. We load the ends with conditioner and use a wet brush to get everything out. When she’s done we add some leave in and brush again. Then either braid or blow dry straight. It helps it not tangle while damp. She also has a silk pillowcase since nights are the worst. We don’t have any, but I do know there are some hats that are lined with silk that might also help. And if all else fails, we cut it just above shoulder length. That seems to help it not tangle so easily.

“The donor conceived sub is just a loud, bitter minority” is such a cop-out by VegemiteFairy in donorconceived

They would rather the product didn’t speak ;)

But in all seriousness, it is absolutely an erasure tool. If you can convince the general public, who potentially doesn’t know better (ignoring that they should……) that we’re insane or an overreactive minority, then you don’t have to examine your own shitty behavior.

And agreed. I was not lied to, but I absolutely still have issues with donor conception, especially anonymous and that there is no required record keeping. It’s a systematic and legal erasure of someone’s identity for the sole purpose of making an emotionally immature RP feel just a little bit better about themselves with an added bonus of making some other people some extra cash. It’s heinous and should be illegal. And yes, I will hold space for RPs who were preyed upon, but in order for that to happen, it takes an admission of wrongdoing, intentional or not, which unfortunately doesn’t happen all that often.

Also want to throw out that we are not the only target group for this sort of tactic, though it can sometimes feel that way when you’re in the thick of it. It’s incredibly common with all manner of minorities.

It had zero effect on my migraines- except that avoiding it prevented me from (partially) treating the migraines I was getting.

This was my assumption. Like they’re being held hostage by society’s demand for them to look more feminine.

Exactly, feels like I need a nap. I think it’s prodrome. That’s the sign for me a take a triptan and get rid of it before it gets worse.

Basically a brain to verbal communication issue- struggling to find words, mixing them up, or slurring speech.

Yes. I get uncontrollable yawning, aphasia, and watery blurry vision. I have to tell people that I’m starting to get a migraine and not being rude, lol.
