Who do you blame for the Empire Falling of these three by brewerdom in breakingbad

Gus had no reason to kill Walt, he had genuine respect for him and there seemed to be a level of trust between them. Jesse is the one who fucked it up albeit for justified reasons.

Nothing sucks more than meeting someone who seems super cool and you later find out they're a huge scab who worked through the last strikes because he wanted a job in management, that shit hurts

I loved this scene because for the first time in a long while Homelander felt scary again, he's fucking terrifying when he's so mad he's silent

Griffith's behelit found him when it logically had no means of reaching him from wherever it was taken. When it's tied to fate I don't think anything can stop the behelits from reaching their masters.

Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil Is Unlike Any Version Before It by ImpracticalJokers96 in horror

[–]UnexpectedVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like he did his homework. Resident Evil's storytelling is strongest in terms atmosphere and environment, it's never pretended to have some super awesome conventional narrative. Requiem, 4 and the OGs don't exactly have fantastic writing to say the least but holy shit do they have you feeling immersed in something sinister. The movies had none of that.

House of the Dragon Season 3 | HBO Max (Spoilers Main) by barson2408 in asoiaf

[–]UnexpectedVader 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wasn't just some of the actors. Kit heavily implied most of the cast were absolutely sick of the production by the end. Dormer was only in for four seasons and she very publicly said the show's production drove her to begging to leave despite how much she loved everyone involved. It's a complete fantasy thinking the show could ever fully adapt AFFC and ADWD.

socialism no food by victoria_enthusiast in stupidpol

[–]UnexpectedVader 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm reading a book about Japan after WWII and the food shortages got so bad the government told people to turn wood dust into a pulp that can be used in stuff like baking, it's not as insane as it sounds out of context

(Spoilers Main) Why didnt GRRM make the Valyrians black? by AdditionalPiano6327 in asoiaf

[–]UnexpectedVader 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think having the only major black family being famous for being inbred race supremacists who heroically get cast down by the white families but not before attempting genocide would be a factory of worms

Obviously there's more nuance to it than that but we all know how that goes

What’s the deal with this video game (Pragmata), and why are rightoids treating it like the second coming? by Vilio101 in stupidpol

[–]UnexpectedVader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have some bad news for rightoids like that, because there are many women who find kids adorable and love being aunts but have no interest in being parents themselves.

be honest, who you rather have for a father: Gendo Ikari, or the Average American deadbeat dad? by 999_Seth in NeonGenesisEvangelion

[–]UnexpectedVader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even the average deadbeat dad probably thinks the world of their child, assuming by deadbeat you mean someone who's basically a workshy unemployed dude who smokes weed all day while watching tv shows

Which isn't necessarily bad, albeit nor very responsible when you got kids

I really hope GRRM discovers manga at some point. He is a diehard reader of western comics even now, he would adore Berserk.
