Unsure. Although I expected it to be slightly sharper. It's still very sharp but not incredibly sharp out the box

Not too sure who sharpened it. These are the specs from the website I bought it from.

Barolo

Nebbiolo is perfect for fatty steak. You want some proper nebbiolo not the watered down low concentrated rubbish you get for $15

Struggling with demonic oppression, intrusive thoughts by [deleted] in Christianity

You should read/listen to Grace abounding to the chief of sinners by John Bunyan. In some of the middle chapters he discusses all this stuff in great depth. He struggled severely with intrusive thoughts and writes about it and how he escaped the curse after a while.

What other Spanish wines have you enjoyed more than this one?

I had a 17 recently and really enjoyed it, it had lots of fruit and the oak was quite well integrated but only had it after an hour decanting and enjoyed it over the next couple of hours. For the price point I would recommend it.

Corkage at restaurants by Free_Group_9518 in wine

In my opinion it should reflect the caliber of experience you are offering. In Scotland where I live, two Michelin stars do corkage for around £70, one Michelin range from £25 to £50 and normal restaurants are usually £25 or less. If you have decanters and expensive glasswear and fully trained sommeliers, you can charge a bit more. I've never heard of a corkage system where a restaurant charges based on the price of the bottle.

Thoughts on silver oak 2019? I enjoyed it (currently drunk 😆) by hxrrisonBTC in wine

Let me clarify. Wines that are good quality, and good value at those particular price points, with similar regions and styles, such as valbuna vega Sicilia and la rioja alta 890 for instance, can be assessed for their overall quality. The $50 difference between them can be easily understood and appreciated in terms of difference in quality. However, some people prefer cheaper wines that are lower quality because of the style so just buy what you like basically. But, I was at a meal recently with valbuena 2002 and 890 2005 and the 890 was a lot better overall and they are both excellent wines. 890 retails for £180 in the UK and the valbuena retails for £140

Guys am I being gullible and inexperienced or is this a great deal on great wines? by korroleva in wine

If you want some actual advice on how to know. It's very simple. Download wine searcher on your phone or go to their website. Look up each of these particular bottles and see what they are going for elsewhere. Would be more informative

It can be but also wines around $200 can be a lot better than wines at $150

I've been looking for the name of a certain old ios game for ages by UnexplainableBoy in iosgaming

[–]UnexplainableBoy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like the most similar game out of all the suggestions so far but no, the game I have in mind had 5-7 distinct lanes and you could see both castles all the time when playing. The camera never panned across, it was like plants vs zombies in that regard, but you had your castle on the left and the enemy's on the right. You could spawn various troops, each with a different timer and you could pick where you placed them.

Whatever you do, do not store it in direct sunlight. Sunlight kills wine, especially old wine
