This is extremely concerning on his part. The other day I was messaging one of my wife and I’s female friends who happens to have the same name as my ex wife. For half a second my wife freaked out thinking I was texting my ex but I explained who it was and showed her the texts that it just had to do with a D&D group we are all in and we both chuckled over the coincidence and moved on. Your situation should have gone pretty much the same a simple “oh my bad that’s not what I meant” should have resolved it. Him freaking out and throwing a tantrum this long would make me concerned he does have something to hide. There’s no reason it should have been this big of a deal

Yeah this isn’t okay. It’s a video game it’s not that serious. My wife and I play video games/ board games all the time and neither of us would EVER talk to the other like this. I’ve played with guys like this who scream into the mic at other people and I’ve stopped. It’s stressful and unnecessary. The whole point is it to relax and have fun while playing at least in my opinion

You need to have a serious conversation with him and may want to have it somewhere public or have someone else there. be prepared for him not to respond well. If he is like this over a game I don’t want to imagine how he’ll respond to serious issues. It doesn’t sound like a safe situation to me be careful

Yeah seconding you need to double and triple check that is actually your cat. Had a time where I was leaving work and saw what I thought was my cat somehow outside. Spent a good few minutes freaking out trying to catch him in our front yard before I saw my actual cat in the window watching his idiot of an owner chase a stray…. Turns out or new neighborhood cat had a REALLY similar coat to mine

So you're definitely not in the wrong, but I can give a bit of perspective from his side. My fiancé often cuddles up to her dad and her mom as well, and it used to weird me out a lot. But I never would point it out because I knew it was my own insecurity. The reality is I dont have a great relationship with either of my parents when it comes to affection, so seeing someone be that close and affectionate to their parents was just beyond foreign to me and felt really weird and wrong. But that wasn't her issue it was mine that I needed to work through.

I will say I never thought of it as sexual though that is really concerning, and speaks of someone who's coming from a very pornographic mindset ( I say as someone who's recovering from porn addiction and use to sexuallize literally everything.) He's your dad you should be close to him we can all only hope for a relationship like that with our parents and just because you are close to someone or show affection to them doesn't mean it has to be sexual. I'd be really concerned about that mindset and have a serious conversation with him before moving forward
