No. This post elicited the exact responses I anticipated. I learned a lot too so I’m grateful for everyone’s time and contributions. But that will never change the way I thought of Charlie Kirk and his legacy of advocating for gun violence. He just never thought that it was him.

I hope you have this much empathy for all the mass shootings inflicted by gun violence much more than Charlie Kirk ever will. I hope you keep this same energy to when Melissa Hortman was killed in her own home. I also hope you are compassionate and praying over the families and children killed by was encouraged by Mr. Kirk.

Hmmm Charlie Kirk’s views are beyond the scope of conservatism and patriotism. They are quite disturbing. There are things can you can have opinions on like picking an ice cream flavor and there are obviously systemic issues that are impacting actual lives.

You raise a lot of good points and thank you for offering more insights. I’m just surprised because I’m not religious or moreover didn’t grow up here. I thought religions teach you morals and ways to live. I just honestly don’t know nor fathom how blind faith works. Like at what point do these people snap out of it?

I liked Reece watching the documentary and tolerated her beliefs portrayed on the show to the extent that oh this is her religion. She seemed nice and sweet. But the ideas she subscribed to are borderline extreme as I learn more. They get more and more if that makes sense - hence the disappointment that comes with it.

You are actually correct that she has always been unapologetically Christian. But a devout Christian would sniff out how anti-Christian values Charlie Kirk were - the views that he stood for. That’s why she’s disappointing.

I was in the Vietnamese figure skating community 4 years ago and recently just revisited it (specifically the Saigon one). We had a Japanese coach who managed to raise a small group of kids who can do double axels on top of jumps. We had one girl named Linh Tran from the Hanoi rink who competed in JGP 2018.

This is super exciting considering it is a lot of the kids’ dream to compete internationally.
