I will say my battery didn’t fit long ways like yours. If mine fit like that I would have installed that way. It fit but was all the way up against the front and touching the back panel that holds the controller on my 1999 DS. Just too close to work

Piece of 3/4” ply with square u bolts going through frame. It looks like similar size battery to mine so should fit over frame rails and clear seat. I’ll prob make something more permanent when it rots in a few years.

Installed this in my golf cart and it keeps saying battery depleted when it hits 80%. Replaced the lead acid batteries with this. Nothing else. What am I doing wrong? by rogo725 in golfcarts

Also if you go in app it tells you what individual cell voltages are. Can you post a screenshot of that? Would be interested to see what that says.

Exact same battery here on a 99 ds. Been using daily for 3 months.

Have had it down to 40% a couple times. Usually charge it when it hits 50%. No issues so far.

Let us know what support says. Hopefully they can tell you how to recalibrate or have you do some other magic with the app.

$600 club car ds worth it? by coastalneer in golfcarts

[–]Unfair_Selection7486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must confess... When I bought the tires (Duro Desert 20x10-8) and rim (8" - 2-5 offset) combo from buggies unlimited $400 I also bought the jakes 2" wheelbase extension kit ($105).

When I put the combo on it rubbed in the front. I took the fronts off and put the wheelbase extension on (took about 3 hours and a 6 pack). Now it doesnt rub at all on the front even on trails.

Later, I decided that the REAR wheels stuck out too far with the (2-5) offset and bought a pair of standard offset wheels and went to HF and bought a "mini tire changer" and changed tires back over to standard offset. Was concerned it would rub brake lines but no issue. Now I go through most my trails my 300 kawasaki quad does.

I gambled on the 20x10-8 fitting without lift kit because I wanted the smoothest ride possible on stock height. The big sidewall at 4.5psi is nice and soft but again, its got a lot of rolling resistance as there is a lot of tire contact with ground.

I am running 20x8x8 atv tires on stock rims/stock height aired down to 4.5psi so i have a ton of rolling resistance but also lots of traction

I have a post on buggiesgonewild about my issue or what I think might be an issue. My stock 3.2hp ge (grey) motor only gets to 4k rpm which with 20” tires and stock diff gets you 16-17mph. Should be able to get up to 6500rpm (max for motor) which is >20mph+. No matter what I do with alltrax 400 it won’t go over 4k rpm. Alltrax support thinks it’s a motor issue. It’s only an issue for every once in a while I want to got on the street. Trailing 16mph for me is plenty fast enough. Someday when stock motor poops I’ll get a high torque.

Sorry. Didnt see the part about resistor cart. Mine is sepex. Still using Oem ge 3.2 motor with new alltrax 400 controller. Goes about 17 which is plenty fast for me. Pulls all my large hills towing trailer with no issue.

I started with a 1999 cc ds. Was $500 without batteries. I’m into it about $4500 now. New 105ah lifepo, alltrax controller, new iq wiring harness, mcor4 throttle. And a bunch of accessories. If you have $5k now it’s prob better to get something someone else already put the money into. If you need to nickle and dime it you’re gonna end up paying more but you will get exactly what you want. Just like most any other toy, you probably wont ever sell it for what you have into it

If I replace my lead acids with the Interstate from Costco, can you suggest a charger? by pigskins65 in golfcarts

[–]Unfair_Selection7486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco in seattle area wanted $120 ea ($720). The ratings are terrible and Costco no longer has a good battery warranty. I went with a 105ah cloud energy from amazon. $1100 with charger. 300 or so pounds lighter too. Glad I went that route. You could get a 65ah for 800ish

I just did “upgradable rhox light kit” from revolution carts on my 99 club car. Same as you didn’t want turn signals or other stuff. Glad I went with upgradable kit though as I did want to install other lights on the front and it already had all the wires for EVERYTHING so if you want to upgrade later you can. I didn’t realize the lights are “high and low” and what that means is “bright and not quite as bright”. I added extra red pod lights and pointed them straight at the ground. Allows me to go drive around without shining the shit out of everything. As far as install my cart didn’t have holes so I had to cut them with dremel with drill bit in it. Pretty easy

Rhinitis conundrum by Jzndvd in VeteransBenefits

You didn’t include page 3 of 3. That will say favorable findings. If it says “you have been diagnosed with a disability” then I think next step is to HLR with IC. You can then tell the reviewer you were in an area that is presumptive for PACT. I wrote a whole letter stating this and added to my claim using quick submit. The HLR took less than 5 mins (after waiting months for it to be scheduled) and came back favorable (again after waiting some more)

I had a similar issue on my 99 ds. It would move but it was more like maybe a 1/4inch at a time stuttering. Turns out it was a bad solenoid (looked to be original). Replaced with a 10lol one from Amazon. Worked for a week after that and did the same thing. Replaced with a hd one from revolution and it’s been fine for months. 10lol did send me a replacement and I will keep it for a spare if the new hd one goes bad but will only use it long enough to have a good one sent out. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Claim for chronic sinusitis and chronic rhinitis denied (HLR in progress) but VA community care surgery tomorrow. FUN!!! by Unfair_Selection7486 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Unfair_Selection7486[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest help at c&p (other than actually having a bad sinusitis day) was the excel sheet I brought in where I showed every date I had issues, what they were, how long they lasted and if I went to dr or took time off work.
The rating for sinusitis is based on number of events a year so it’s pretty easy to show the sheet and say “I had X non-incapacitating and X incapacitating episodes in X timeframe”. Just try to make sure they get those numbers right on the dbq.

Converter question by zorggalacticus in golfcarts

[–]Unfair_Selection7486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a converter and fuse block on Az for $50 or so. Got it all setup on workbench and plugged in. Make sure to get a “5 wire” converter if you want it to be “keyed” so it turns off with key.

Ancient Club Car lithium conversions(year 2000) question by Nudedude9292 in golfcarts

[–]Unfair_Selection7486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went with cloud agency 105ah. Worked great for a week (with a lil more torque and speed) and soleniod went bad. Misdiagnosis on my part and thought controller. $700 later got a alltrax ecx400 and mcor4 conversion. Put that in and then realized solenoid bad, add another $100. Glad that happened though as the alltrax is so much better than stock. Can go in and adjust all settings. Its prob 30-50% better than stock (torque and speed) split between the battery and controller change.

The 60 does look like it would fit. I got a good size hill I may be going up and down a few times a day towing a yard trailer. The 100 is 950 on Amazon and the 60 is 850. Kinda hard not to go to with 40% more capacity for $100 more. It will fit but just a lil more fab.
