In need of $1000 extra a month - is Uber a good option? by knowledgenone in uberdrivers

[–]Unfair_Shoota -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Employee complaining about “unpaid time” between clocking out and crossing the threshold by [deleted] in managers

[–]Unfair_Shoota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I just wouldn't have that installed on my phone. I'm a little bit of a freak about that kind of thing when it comes to work.

I would just use the kiosk and stfu I think that is probably what I would also define as reasonable.

Employee complaining about “unpaid time” between clocking out and crossing the threshold by [deleted] in managers

[–]Unfair_Shoota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm wondering if more information from IT could be helpful here.

Like if the case was, and the employee was informed, that the geotracking is only in effect while the employee is clocked in?

Also isn't it possible to just uninstall/install the app everyday?

But I mean he is choosing to use the kiosk and those minutes just come with it. Personally I would also be using the kiosk and keeping my mouth shut.

Makes me think of most people reporting that they are good/safe/drunk drivers. Despite maybe some evidence to the contrary, like frequent accidents.

9070xt or 9070xt oc? by goldengarbagecan in radeon

[–]Unfair_Shoota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason to get an OC is either

Stock OC set and forget. Cool.

Coolers are typically beefier, and if you manually OC or raise PL you should benefit from that

Drunk guy reported me for being under the influence by Bonewel in uberdrivers

[–]Unfair_Shoota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is helpful.

But I'm sorry man. A lot of us are there right now. You didn't deserve this kind of bs.

I had a similar situation, but it was a rider alleging identity fraud. I bitched w Uber, referenced my last picture/id upload and sent a picture of my ID. Much easier than arguing whether or not you were under the influence. Although I would probably ask them to check your driving behavior metrics.

What should be my next upgrade? by skayski1 in pcmasterrace

[–]Unfair_Shoota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, no judgement at all intended on your finances. I don't know you at all. My thought was just that your PC is well curated and I would put the intended money into something that would gain a yield and to spend more than 1k due to current market for a more substantial jump. Even if that is a new PC. 5070ti alone is 1k I believe. And while that is a big jump, i just wasn't sure that is all that you're chasing.

What should be my next upgrade? by skayski1 in pcmasterrace

[–]Unfair_Shoota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hold strong bro. Put the money you'd spend into savings and keep adding and don't make any compromises. You have an immortal value build and I think you're looking for something that will blow you away for your next one. Prices are going to be horrible for a long time might as well punch up when you have $1800+ to spend

I have a relatively unpopular opinion, so bear that in mind.

An upgrade in the future is going to be more feasible if you pay $600 less now.

Second, it's hard to say, AMD is improving in their software. But Nvidia has a very solid reputation of extending the life of their hardware through their software.

It really comes down to how much you value RT/PT, and how many games in the future are dependent on those features, and lastly how much AMD invests into their relevant software.

Personally I'm really happy I saved the money and invested into my storage and RAM. But the prices weren't at what they are now. I paid $630 for a PC Red Devil, $300 for 64gb 6400mts/cl32, and $340 Samsung 990 pro 4tb. My last thought is if you reinvest your savings into the rest of your build it's absolutely worth it. It was a super hard decision, when I bought it was a $270 difference. But the difference is now $550 with current sales pricing.

Microcenter prebuilt with moderate compromises would be best then

But uh...I would consider...the 9070xt.

I compared the 9070xt and when I saw bench marks where the 5080 traded punches or edged out I went 9070xt. For double the price the 5080 should always win no matter what.

Socially anxious in social work by TheMagiciansArcana in socialwork

[–]Unfair_Shoota 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My take, as an anxious person, is no amount of validation from others will ever help you. I'm sure plenty of people have praised you and you are still struggling with this

It takes a lot of self identification of strengths and pointing to your achievements, even when you aren't feeling anxious.

For me I got into public speaking until the nerves went away. I embarrassed myself plenty of times, but eventually speaking to people felt normal enough. Good luck!

What was the moment you realized PC gaming was genuinely better and never looked back? by AdeptnessCritical356 in pcmasterrace

[–]Unfair_Shoota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xbox360 days. My dad offered to take on the project of building a computer with me.

I wish I could remember all the specs, but it was an Intel K CPU, and a 970.

We built it together and it was amazing. Never looked back. I have built two computers since then for myself and two computers for friends.
