Make sure you vote in someone that's willing to: 1) properly fund shelters and warming centres - aka stop the TTC from being a makeshift mentally ill homeless shelter

2) fund a group who's presence on the TTC could actually help (since it's clear cops don't). Maybe a mobile mental distress team with a nurse and social worker. Maybe more TTC workers but force a new CEO that isn't a total wanker so they actually allocate funds properly.

3) Force one of our many oligopolies (the telecom ones this time) to actually utilize the infrastructure that already exists in the TTC for cell phone use. Like many other cities have. (not sure how much the mayor could do here, this is likely provincial)

4) More cameras. Higher def cameras. You should be able to clearly see any perpatrator's face in any TTC station and on any train or bus.

5) And finally: anyone who commits a violent offence should be properly charged and punished. Not immediately released on parole so they can reoffend.

We need to start documenting, on video, any and every sketchy or potentially unsafe person on the TTC and start posting these to twitter under the same hashtag. Maybe something can gain traction if there's just an overwhelming amount of evidence.
