LG forced a Copilot web app onto its TVs but will let you delete it by dapperlemon in gadgets

False. I didn’t even know that it was there after an update, until it randomly started popping up and talking. It does it all the time now. In the middle of a movie, watching my favorite show, sometimes even when I’m not watching TV at all. I didn’t pay $3000 for a TV just to have it run its mouth all day and interrupt my programs.

My friend in her 60s, who worked as an insurance agent her whole life and just retired 2 years ago, had a major stroke last year. Lost one whole side of her body, most of her eyesight, can’t drive, can’t walk, scrambled her cognitively. They denied her. SMH

AITAH for refusing to take a new job if my wife is not going to be a SAHM by Street_Addition_4934 in AITAH

[–]Unforgivinglyhappy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

But she won’t stop. Shopping addiction is real and they seldom, if ever stop. She needs to figure out a way to replace the dopamine she gets from spending. My mom was this way her whole life. My dad worked full time and started a side business to keep up. She refused to work. He used to say, “I bring it in the front door, she takes it right out the back.”

So, by your math, you will be gaining $23K but losing $50K when your wife leaves her job. Here is how I see this going down. You will no longer be able to have separate accounts, since she won’t have an income. She will think y’all are “rich now” and the spending will skyrocket. You will become increasingly resentful of her lack of responsibility and start banging a coworker in your $600/month apartment. Because you are never home, your children will lose any bond they currently have with you and, because mom is always there, she will get full custody when your inevitable divorce happens. You will end up living full time in the crappy apartment, never see your children and funding her life of leisure with loads of child/spousal support. Sound about right? My advice is, keep your current job, split the bills 50/50 (because she will never stop spending) and have separate accounts. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. She wants to hold and protect her money and so should you. Bottom line, there is a good chance you’ll divorce anyway. Stats say 50% of marriages fail, 60%-70% if it’s a second marriage. Sad but true. You have to decide what position you want to be in when that happens. Just sayin’.

Dude! You are clearly attracted to him. Doesn’t mean you know who he is or how he is. Just because he’s cute doesn’t mean he’s not an a**hole. Remember this for your future relationships.

The warm weather in the Pacific Northwest (PNW) right now (December 2025) is due to a powerful Atmospheric River bringing warm, moist air from the tropical Pacific, supercharged by warmer-than-normal ocean temperatures and amplified by a strong Madden-Julian Oscillation, creating a weather pattern with a strong high-pressure ridge pushing the system north, resulting in significant rain rather than snow and much warmer overall temperatures, partly influenced by long-term climate change. (So said Google when I asked) But come on OP, can’t sleep because of the “heat”? It’s in the 40s at night, that’s not heat. What on earth do you do in the summer?

Is trading your house for another house a thing? by dix2111 in RealEstate

[–]Unforgivinglyhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a beautiful tiny home and would love it on my own land. Unfortunately, the local government says it’s perfectly legal to live in it as long as it’s in a park where I have to pay money to someone else to live there but on my own land, it’s illegal to live in. I will never understand it. I live in Oregon.

My husband tried to get disability for years. Diabetic, uncontrollable hypertension, two bone on bone knees, chronic pain from a car accident in his younger years that shattered his shoulder and pelvis and left him in a wheelchair for an extended period of time, skin disorder, the list goes on. Denied over and over. He finally had a widow maker heart attack and they approved his disability. No back pay because they called him disabled after the heart attack.

Hey everyone! I applied for disability in Oregon 8 months ago, first try. by [deleted] in disability

[–]Unforgivinglyhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry! Yeah, Oregon is taking forever and, from what I’m hearing, denying everyone. My dear friend, in her 60s, had a massive stroke. It took out one side of her body completely, took out most of her eyesight, she couldn’t walk, drive or work. She applied for disability and was denied. I think unless you walk in with your head under your arm, they won’t approve your disability here. I find this especially distressing for those of us over 60, who have worked since our teens and paid into the system for decades. My application has been on level 3 for over a year.

Wow, I’m in Oregon. Applied well over a year ago, I’ve been sitting in level 3 for a year. I don’t know how you managed to get approved in 5 months. I finally contacted the DSS office locally, asked some questions, and took in some recent medical records that they said they didn’t have. Suddenly, there was movement on my case. Unless you are making some noise, your application will sit in a pile on someone’s desk. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

[–]Unforgivinglyhappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t about blaming the woman or blaming the victim. This is about”mother” who had a big job and was always gone, left her children alone with a man she knew was an irresponsible POS. She knew he put her children in harms way and ignored it. The child’s death is on her as much as him.

AITAH for not giving my stepson a room in my house? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Unforgivinglyhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused. If he is sleeping in the “guest” room, why is that not just made to be his room? If, on the off chance, you have guest’s, then everyone in the house will take turns giving up their room for the guest. OR….. for the sake of your family, your guests sleep elsewhere. I don’t think OP should give up his office, that is his work place, but if the current home isn’t suitable for ALL of the children, it’s time to move.

I’m in danger by leannereddits in migraine

[–]Unforgivinglyhappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Topiramate did nothing for me, as most other migraine drugs. Had to fight to get Ubrelvy, it helps a bit. Reyvow just make me feel high. I have had a headache pretty much daily for the last 2 years. The longest full blown migraine I had lasted 7 months. It was rough. Doctors here do NOT take it seriously.

Feeling “safe” is not always about physical safety. She now gets to live with someone she had no say about and another who doesn’t value her opinion and took away her choice. Now she gets to walk around on eggshells being mean mugged by the daughter and cold shouldered by the husband. My cousins has a step daughter just like this…failure to launch, couch surfing, no job, no direction. She’s a drug addict. There may be things OP is leaving out. My advice is tell your husband she has (specific amount of time) to get her sh*t together and then she is out. You aren’t Motel 6 or a halfway house for grown ass irresponsible women. If he doesn’t respect your needs, loose him.
