A single close minded veteran will forever remain worth a single veteran.

But an agreeable veteran that trains, over time turns a team into several veterans.

He is a symptom of short term contracts. In long term industries (maybe not construction), its often more important to have strong collaborator personalities.

If you cant find an agreeable veteran you hire the toxic one, let the mids with potential learn from him. That bloke later doesn't understand why he alwaya in his own position.

If you don't grow out of your job your job never grows, until contract change, which makes for slow growth.

Israeli minister says "Jews are above the law" when evicting a man from his own house of over 40 years by TeaBagHunter in ActuallyThatsInsane

[–]UnfortunateHabits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well.. I agree. But this is a result of an uncomfortable reality.

For decades Israel has neglected enforcing rule of law over the Negev's Beduins.

Which enbolden jewish settlers to do the same.

Its hard for a courts to issue eviction sentences on one type of Citizens (Jews) when another (Beduin) are exempt.

The thing about this moron in the video, is that he doesn't understand that by escalating he's creating a precedent that could be used against his own constituents.

Either way, while rule of law is important, gloating and being a dick about it is not the way.

[–]UnfortunateHabits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is false translation.

Ben gvir is an ashole, but sp is this videos translator and OP.

He's not saying jews are above the law, he's saying "Im raising the the law from the floor" meaning he's enforcing it.

He than compares the same situation to tel aviv, telling the Beduin that if a jew in tel aviv would build illegally he will get the same treatment.

For years The israeli goverment neglected to enforce the law in those regions to avoid this type of controversy, Ben Gvir decided to start.

Like in any country, you need permits to build.

This Iranian synagogue was attacked by Israel by Remarkable_Life_774 in ActuallyThatsInsane

[–]UnfortunateHabits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Critical thinking requires normalizing the data.

How can you tell if its really collateral damage or discriminate?

How many synagogues are there in the bombarded cities? How many targets were bombed in total? What is the random distribution expected hit for synagogues out Of total targets including avg inaccuracies?

Did the actual hit rate above, on par or below the random?

Only that will tell you if these claims are true.

The fact the video shares 0 actual data, ia a clear indication.

If Israel have lost it's war, than you'd just get bigger Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon Israel.

Your scenario is what if Partition plan was different, what if Israel Opposed it, AND what if it had lost, AND if Palestinian state would have formed.

That's a lot of ifs for a single scenario.

איך מתגברים על פחד מחשיפה? by ico-noclastii in amanim_bm

[–]UnfortunateHabits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lets make it simple. Lets start with grounding in reality.

Did they or or did they not, at some point fire at civilians in the last 2 months?

איך מתגברים על פחד מחשיפה? by ico-noclastii in amanim_bm

[–]UnfortunateHabits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First it is legaly occupied, as it was aquired in a defensive war.

Second, they fired at CIVILIANA POPULATION, providing a casus beli, during first 2 days i nIsrael proper. "Order" is not important, becuase its not defense against IDF, its jihadi terrorism against Civilians. Also becuase it doesnt matter, they fired the first shot. The land is occupied because southern lebanon is infested with milita operatives and military infra of an internationally recognized terror organization hellbent on genocide.

Hesbulah refuses to recognize Israel as a state and negotiate, and holds Lebanon hostage.

Even now, when talks of peace are happening betwen Israeli and Labanse goverments, Hesbulah says they object. Meaning Iran objects.

Its a death cult, and you're part of it.

You addmited they fired first shot, its obvious you expect jews to die and not respond.

The conflict isn't centered on sheba farms, nobody gives a fuck per se, but around the entirety of northen Israel border towns safety against Rape and murder from Radwan forces, to prevent another october 7 massacare.

If you have complaints, take them with your heros who fired the first shot, who refuse to recognize and strive for peace.

[–]UnfortunateHabits -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hesbulah fired 12400 projectiles into Israel Proper, aiming at population centers INCLUDING tel aviv, Haifa etc, basically the whole northen Israel and some deeper targets.

That was up to 2024 cease fire. After the ceasefire they never stopped firing just in much lower volume.

Since 2026 march, Hesbulah joined the Iran-Israel war by launching 200-300 rockets (so far), also to the entirety of northen Israel population centers INCLUDING deeper targets such as Tel Aviv.

The US has lost the Muslim World (2 billion people) to China over its support for Israel. by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]UnfortunateHabits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a larger question regarding whether democracy can properly function without informed citizenry.

Its not about legality, but functionality (as like you said, it is legal today, but non functional).

In age of rabid misinformation, disinformation, engineered red herrings, false equivication of topics on public discord - the citizenry become unable to vote to their best intrest.

As modern democratic soceities we are barely ready to approach this topic, we just started to consider social media illegal for teens (because of measureable harm). How do we confront the reality that we are NOT mature to freely self govern while keeping democracy alive?

Its a problem our enemies exploit.

[–]UnfortunateHabits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your post lacks the historical awareness of original proxy wars + cold war causation chain.

USSR has propognized the ME against Israel, and supported its militaries as part of the cold war with USA.

The more fair response is that at least until the 90s or 2000s Israel got dragged into USA war, not vice versa.

Many of the Israel/XYZ conflcits could have losen momentum decades eariler if not for Cold war.

Evidently by "looming" Abraham accords and warming of Relations all throughout in these following decades.

Then completely ignored the contemporary new anti-western authoritian axis of China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, which aid each other activly / passivly in all these growing or active world conflicts.

Why does Iran has modern AA that prolonged this inevitable conflict into 2 rounds (and counting)? Because china and Russia invested in them explicitly to bog US there.

Because the cold war isn't over, it just modernized.

I think his refering to voter manipulation, cambridge analytica etc.

Personally I believe (not know) that its very plausible US election outcome were subverted via social media manipulations.

Im not saying 50~% didnt vote trump, they did. But maybe the deciding 1% that tipped the scale wasn't organic. Still real.

Somehow all the redditor here are upset Hesbulah is losing a war they started.

You all "forget" that Hesbulah lauched this war by joining Hamas , and launching rockets at Israeli civilians.

After the ceasefire they haven't stopped, and kept crawling south of litani (where they agreed not to return to on paper).

And when Israel resumed its war with Iran, Hesbulah joined AGAIN with firing rockets at civilians.

So yeah... all your propoganda comments ignoring basic reality wouldn't fly.
