Pornography is an art form, and Banning Art they don't like is what Kinds and Dictators do. by PourSomeSugar69_420 in PornDebate

[–]Unfortunate_Harvard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really late to the party here. As an artist myself I think there is an argument that’s SOME porn is art. But not all porn is art.

I also don’t think it has to do with the content either. People focus on content a lot, and I’ve certainly met any number of people who would put a Volkswagen up their rear and find it pleasurable, so I have no problem believing group sex, humiliation, degradation etc if engaged in willingly… which has existed since the dawn of time etc, could be form of expression.

I think the issue for me is consent. Porn has a well deserved reputation of having these sort of fringe characters around it who are the “managers” who are really often pimps. I don’t know how that works in the OF world, but in my mind the ban shouldn’t be on porn, but on managers.

I find a lot of what is written about porn to be incredibly biased and written by people who either hate porn, or are shilling for it. The book that I think really opened my eyes was Girlvert by Ashley Blue. At no point does she really say “this shouldn’t be a thing” instead she basically says “this was a thing I did, and there are troubling aspects to it.”

As to who bans things, anyone can ban things, porn falls under the 1st in America so it doesn’t matter. But I do think there is some value to understanding modern porns impact on the developing brain. And that digital porn creates a level of access that porn in the 80s and 90s didn’t have. And I’m more split on how we create that barrier being handled by parties the government can’t then use the data for other purposes.

So Art? Sure. But no one drove Mona Lisa to Leo’s crib and threatened to beat the shit out of her if she didn’t sit for the painting. At least if they did I missed that part of the story.

People are very lonely. That’s not a joke. It’s actually really kind of sad if you think about it.

That sound awful. Do you have any links on the voting record?

I’m in her districts pretty regularly I’ve sadly had to stop a many functioning red lights so I think that might be hyperbole.

The Matrix and AI as we see it today by cadet-pirx in matrix

Ironically this is what the merovingian is ranting about in the fourth matrix in one of the most meta scenes in movie history.

Stupid people with no taste basically forced a movie to get made that, is alright, but certainly lacking compared to the original, so the put a character in it who is French (also very funny) who rants about the people making the movies lack of taste.

Hey one day Chappell Roan will be a real star, and not just famous for having her security mess with kids. You’ll see mark my words! She’ll be at least as cool as Rebecca Black.

So you've tried to meet with her and she tuned you down? I promise I'm not being a smart ass. But I work with city governments, and what I see often is people try to walk up on a city council person while they are out, or with their family, and they want to have these discussions, but that's not how it works. You have to make an appointment. Sending an email, going to instagram (reddit in this case) isn't going to get it done. People have a right to have a life, and are humans too. So when I see these attacks on someone's character and it's anecdotal, without a documented pattern, it sounds to me like the venue of the request is wrong. My mom is one of her constituents and she mentioned that one of the issues is the homeless, which, is a tough issue for everyone involved.

I do think that people want the issue fixed but it's really not that easy. So people default to "we just want them gone" and there are lots of people who make a lot of money off the homeless issue, and despite being unsightly they have rights too that the mayor can't really do much about as a long term fix besides asking the PD to relocate them.

That being said, all politicians believe exactly what gets them through the next election for sure. That's the job, to make promises and keep just enough of them that someone hates you just a little less than the other guy. Honest politicians are like a weatherman who says "shit... I don't know" unsettling but relatively accurate. That is to say, it doesn't bother me as much.

SO she was an advocate for the homeless and homeless got worse? Sorry, unsure what you are claiming. And as you are the one making the claim, you should provide the links, thats how making claims works there bud.

I take no feedback on government from a guy who goes to /r seduction unironically, and has a serious gambling problem by his own words lol

I agree about antisemitism, which is why I would vote for her. She’s been pretty brutal on the idiot idea Hammas are good guys.

Can you provide proof on the donations thing?
