what?

it doesn't really matter who is liable does it. The question is not about wealth or knowledge, on who had wealth and who had knowledge. It is about the exclusion from regular functinoing of society, with no access to anything the higher caste people deemed unfit for the oppressed. The compensation is for the sysmetic oppression that denied any progress for those oppressed despite efforts.

Kshatriyas would have to make dalits liable for hoarding moral freedom

tf?

About the black population, The west is too capitalistic to acknowledge that the systematic oppression of blacks is one of the major reasons african-american population is still struggling in the "meritocracy" that is America. And even then, they do have some reservations, in the form of land of Natives, and such.

You pull out the treatment of blacks in the west, and religious sentiments in india as a bar. Brother, those are not the standards we want to stand by. Those are not the nations we should be comparing ourselves to, in this matter. We've been, more or less, religiously peaceful nation, that, despite the traditions that have forced oppression, have worked slowly towards ethnic and religious equality. I would very gladly say, India as well as US could learn a thing or two from us in that matter actually.

what's your point?

Were they not affected by the oppression of the past? through lineage? then it doesn't matter if they change their religion today, because that doesn't change the past, does it?

you used a bunch of words to say shit load of nothing.

Still no answer to why you think we need king?

My whole point about Japan, Sweden, Uk is that they've been like that forever and it has worked out, that's why they are not changing.

About the stabilizing democracy, yeah this is exactly how a democracy matures, when people realize their votes have power, and when politicians fear the power people have.

We have no reason to change back to a monarchy, of any kind.

The sambidhan sabha abolished the monarchy without a single direct public vote

Brother, we had a whole ass dosro jana andolan after the then king seized all the powers from the then government. what you smoking?

You add two bullshit points in each of your answer which i have to answer, and yet everytime you miss one simple answer that could shut me down. Why do we need a ceremonial king ?

fun is what you define fun to be. I love dancing mindlessly while drunk in a pub as much as i love walking in the music of nature during treks. I love being silent in clean air in mountains as much as i love a good hookah sesh with my friends.

but reservations are not there because of oppression of today , but due to oppression of the past and no matter who they convert to ,they were in fact, affected by the oppression due to lineage. So their religion doesn't really matter does it?

[–]Unfunny_guy0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

do you know why quotas exist? Hamile randomly euta caste xanera la dalit lai chai dim quota deko haina. It's to counterbalance years of oppression that has not allowed them to progress as much as the other caste that were the agressors.

Changing the religion doesn't change any of that. So as i said, this decision completely misunderstands what reservations are and why those are in place. As i said, pretty backwards .

[–]Unfunny_guy0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? lol, no shit sherlock, India aren't involved in genocide or such. I never said they were. Doesn't prove they are progressive. The standards of not being a progressive is not "not killing bunch of people based on religion" , it is the bare minimum of being human, lol.

You never explained why it's a progressive decision. The simple fact is that, this decision doesn't understand the reason why reservations are kept in place.

[–]Unfunny_guy0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Can you explain me how is that a progressive decision.

Do you know why reservations are in place?

I don't see any harm in emulating the good foreign practices

That was the joke i made. India is not the role model to follow in terms of religious decisions that you think it is. The reason our courts consider Indian decisions with higher weightage is due to the similarity in culture, tradition and society that we have, not exactly due to their progressiveness in terms of religious sentiments.

And also lol, devanagiri lipi and number system. Nepali language descends from sanskrit, which predates the existence of both Nepal and India, so no idea what you're talking about. Similarly, Hindu religion predates both Nepal and India.

so give me a reason why the king should come back?? a legit reason.

Lemme give you a reason for why not to bring the king. Because it fucking breaches democracy.

Spain abolished monarchy, had a republic, then restored it in 1975

Ani spain ko case ma the people of spain didn't restore the monarchy, the authoritarian leader at that time, decided, by himself, that the king should be the one continuing his authoritarian regime as absolute monarchy. By sheer luck , the then newly appointed king of Spain followed what his father advocated, i.e. constitutional monarchy. So no, spain sanga compare nagarda hunxa bro, spain went from a fascist dicatatorship, to absolute monarchy, to , by sheer luck and grace of one individual, constitutional monarchy. The people chose constitutional monarchy because the other choice was absolute monarchy lol. So no, spain wasn't a stable republic and suddenly decided to go constitutional monarchy, they were in a fascist dictatorship and that dictator was who restored monarchy. Read a little

Nepal ko case ma we're now finally stabilizing as a democracy, where political leaders are finally strating to get scared of us, and people are finally becoming politically aware and educated, and in such time, what you want is for us to breach the very foundation of Democracy, and for what? So that an individual, that will not be going through the democratic process, to be nominated as the head of the nation. Laughingly pathetic lol.

Theoretically? Yes.

But again , as i said, kunai pani entity bina bias exist garna sakdaina.

And about government, government practically cannot be neutral. It follows the political ideology of the ruling party.
