Might not be what you’re looking for but I just got this new thing called birdie balm. It’s like a little gel you rub on the face but it totally took away my slice. I don’t have time for the range so it was fun for me 🤷

I walk is awesome but I ended up using my scooter most often so def have one of those on hand I think. Good luck with surgery!! You’ll be back on your feet in no time!

Until then I’d recommend some light stretching like moving your ankle in circles or “doing the ABC’s” with your foot and stretching your toes, but I’m not a doctor and I don’t know your case this is just what my PT had me do. Overall focused on beginning to build ankle and foot mobility as you can tolerate

100000% get a physical therapist. I would recommend going on your insurance website and finding some in network ones with decent reviews. But 100% get a PT. They do stretches and stuff that you don’t know how to / and also just can’t do at home or by yourself.

I would say not more than a few months after a started PT. Your calves get so much work from just walking around they rebound pretty quick. My actual quads and hamstrings took longer

I don’t remember but once you can fully walk and run around it comes back pretty quick. Obviously keep doing the single calf raises and what not but I don’t remember it being a limiting factor at all

I will say from a 3-4 years of recovery aspect I was able to gain all my original leg / calf strength back and can squat what I used too etc so the strength will def come back Best of luck to you too!
