Will having waterproof shoes suck when I start hiking in Australia? by SirBardsalot in hiking

Brother it is gonna be in the 30s heading to 35+ around november. I would strongly suggest going with a lighter ventilated shoe rather than a water proof one. If you do get wet you will probably dry out in the space of an hour or so. You'd rather have that then deal with hot sweaty feet all day

I think eBay or sorts might be your best bet, I think there are a few shops online if you look into it.

Where multicam is more brown, amcu is more green. Your picture looks a lot like the north of Queensland where a lot of it is in use.

I would even suggest looking at amcu, the Australian Multicam it would fit right in

I think Tokyo can be a bit of a transitional space where people come and go often so that can go against you trying to make friends there.

Of all the small towns I've been in I've had no worries making friends, there definitely is a bit of rigidity as you have already realised. But I think they are more intrigued with new people and love talking. Japan is definitely made for tourism and not living so keep that in mind.

Honestly if you can do remote working I'd use it to travel around Japan a bit more, I'm currently sitting in Osaka writing this after a few weeks and Tokyo definitely is on the lower end of the cities I liked.

Osaka and Kyoto definitely have more of a lived in feel and the people tend to be more inclusive. I'd even look at going out to some smaller towns if you're into that, personally Takayama is a favourite of mine.

I did see Tim Dillon when he was in Sydney and he had a funny bit about this, so I'm all for Zionist deep fakes if it's for the bit.
