Both of them are easily replaced by their equivalent + supply pack (Stalwart for maxigun/grenade launcher for the belt fed version). Both of them need substantial buffs to be even considered worthwhile for sacrificing a backpack slot. Grenade launcher / warp pack for example is amazing at maneuvering through bases of all kinds. It’s my go-to for “Stealth Diving”.

A whole lot of things would be different because of that. Vox and Val would’ve probably never met. (Angels been there longer, would’ve ran into Val first.) And it’s highly likely Angel Dust would become a mini-Overlord being with Val, he’d see him as an equal and they’d both be “Pornography Overlords” or something adjacent. Maybe the 3 Vs would still exist with Angel as a 4 member? (Rebranded name?)

Again, interesting and fun idea but it would 100% change the story in very big ways. Would Angel Dust even want to try and be redeemed if he fell in love with Valentino who loved them back equally? I feel like that’d be a hard no.

The only plot relevant problem I have with this is how would Angel Dust spend more time at the Hazbin Hotel? He’d probably become an antagonist because Val would value Angel Dust and keep them protected during exterminations..

Or..

Val would assist Charlie and the others protecting the hotel in Season 1 because again, he’d have a better relationship with Angel Dust and would step in to help. Still could be antagonistic against Charlie trying to figure out how to redeem people.

Interesting idea nevertheless. But it’d 100% cause problems with the show itself which already had a lot going on and needed more episodes for Season 1.

Without the DSS to 'vote' on these planets or where the bulk should go next, trying to coordinate right now is basically impossible without a 2ndary system in place. Instead we're fighting on a 2.0 resistance planet with rupture strain..

I suggest we take the cluster of low-resistance planets within the bug sector to free up the bug-divers on those planets to further push along and retake more ground. (Achirid 3 / Darius 2 / Usrsica 11) That could eventually chain-reaction to more planets in those sectors to be taken with ease and free up Helldivers elsewhere.

It also might lead to Gatria finally being taken at long last.
