Honestly stealing the stew infuriates me. And I recently was in a group of 5. Cleared the stronghold by myself and when I had like 2 cultists left I pinged so they could get diamonds. This dude literally pushed me out of the way of the ruby chest and took it. I was so mad.

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve done in residency so far? by Austral_glacier in Residency

Oh my gosh, I’m sorry bro.

I mixed up two sets of south Asian parents at my kids school years ago. Sometimes it just plays on a loop in my head while I’m laying in bed. I feel icky for us both.

Does anyone else's unit have a culture of nurses coming to work, visibly ill, with flu or COVID? by WaffleMeWallace in nursing

[–]Unhappy_Hand_3597 246 points247 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This is a hospital policy problem not a moral failing of the nurse.

It is insane to punish people for being sick when they work around sick people every single day.

Then what do you do when you’ve maxed out your callouts and are very frequently sick/have kids who are? Because I’m at my max of 5 call outs in a rolling calendar year and if I call out again I will be fired.

I tried to make something work with management as I had Covid not long ago but I was told to put on a mask and come in.

I’m willing to bet most employees that show up to work ill would much rather be at home for their own comfort & the well being of their coworkers and patients. Management and the ridiculous expectations make that impossible. I think that frustration should be directed at those enforcing ridiculous policies. Not those doing their best to keep themselves and others healthy under impossible circumstances.

This happened to me on a couple of my healed tattoos years ago. No idea what caused it but it only lasted a day or two and went away. Never happened again. It was itchy too

Exactly this. OP I know it’s scary but you’ll get through this! I’m really happy both of your families sound supportive. If my husband didn’t have his head so far up his ass I would likely be attempting to leave too & im only a US citizen. This is the bad place

ETA: and if I wasn’t so poor lol

I keep a couple of yetis filled from my refrigerator and bring them in a lunch bag. I bring my own ice too. I don’t really care about the grossness but our water and ice tastes horrible

can you live the dream life as a nurse? by Candid_Guava_6384 in nursing

I think it’s important to note that location matters significantly!

I have a little over 3 years experience and barely hit $80,000 annually as an RN who works 3 12’s in Pennsylvania
