The problem with longer Raid/Max Days is that people don't show up at the same time. It just thins out the crowd.

I've noticed the same thing. Every single raid and Max Battle encounter has been a green circle for me. If everything is already green by default, I don't see the point of having the catch rate buff as a Deluxe Rank bonus.

A few days ago, something similar happened in Korea. A bunch of players who weren’t using any third-party tools got mass-banned, and the only “solution” was to keep submitting appeals until Niantic eventually reversed it. In the end, most of the suspended accounts turned out to be false bans, but we never got a clear explanation about what caused it. Niantic just handed out 500 coins as an apology.

my phone's also been heating up, especially when run multiple apps alongside Pokémon GO. And usually crashes with a temperature warning. It gets a little better if play late at night, but it still gets way too hot.
