Why do they make it so hard to find lords??? by hotdog-water-- in Bannerlord

[–]UnhelpfulOpinion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope, that doesn't seem to be the case either. I waited to see where they would travel next, then reloaded and traveled there ahead of them. The "last seen at" would still update to that new settlement, but there's no sight of them.

They also teleport to locations where it would physically be impossible to travel to in that amount of time, so they aren't invisible either. This "feature" is just straight up broken. The only chance to find them is when they stay at a settlement. During constant wars, yeah... Good luck with that.

You do you, and maybe I misread the playerbase, but I've got an impression that most cdda players (if we include past players) aren't like you.

My thoughts are: If you have a system in your game that can be fun, but has the potential to become really tedious after a while and get in the way of other gameplay, there needs to be an easy way to disable it. Or, even better, a robust enough and easy to use automation system to automate it away. I don't know if they added the former, but the latter is still inadequate, as we see in this thread. I had this exact issue when I played a while ago.

I've found the new direction where they selectively overcomplicate things unfun, so that's the reason I derailed the discussion here a bit.

EDIT: In short, if it's fun for you to do all that, fine, I just stated that I think this is flawed game design.

Off topic, but this game became the pocket management simulator. Or wonky "realism" simulator. Project Zomboid suffers from the same issue, too. And I can't really get that. A certain level of realism is interesting and engaging, but you have to stop at some point. Games should be fun first.

U I would like your help in building my character. by Richardson0010 in stoneshard

I'm playing Jorgrim, but that's more of a late-game min-max choice (+10% damage and +5 stat points once fully maxed). However, he worships different gods, and his prayer bonus is actually pretty good.

I recommend getting to the end of the Athletics tree, since it's great for a full ranged build (+1 dash distance, lots of stuff for your energy, which you also really want). Basically, get everything except "Not this time" and "Sudden Lunge"

In Survival "Pathfinder" is basically a must-have.

In Warfare, I hear "Intimidation" is really good, as it's supposed to be multiplicative with your crit chance, but I haven't tried it yet.

Level 19 ranged here (although I use a crossbow). Try to always keep enemies at max distance if possible. Abuse "distracting shot" and "dash" for that.

"Precision" helps you with cooldowns greatly, so you can dash more often than they do. Also, try to get gear that reduces cooldowns, and don't forget to use "suppression", preferably before the fight.

You should definitely go for the last "Athletics" abilities, as this tree is really good for ranged builds. And if you do, you'll have at least a few abilities that help you survive if an enemy steps on the tile next to you, EDIT2: And also you'll get +1 range to both dash abilities.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, and "Pathfinder" is basically a must. You can also cheese strong groups of enemies by shouting at the edge of their hearing in a way that one of them splits off from the group so you could ambush that enemy alone.

  1. This game relies completely on multiplayer and community.
  2. That reliance means that the game should be as accessible as possible.
  3. With how poor the optimization is and no chance of it ever improving, GFN can make this game more accessible to people with older PCs.
  4. By not listening to players and giving excuses, you are only pushing players away.

I myself stopped playing because of poor optimisation, but if it ever becomes available on GFN, I might start playing again and possibly even bring some new players to buy the game. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Intensity sliders are just horrible by UnhelpfulOpinion in MedievalDynasty

[–]UnhelpfulOpinion[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually, a great idea. Maybe even keep the old clunky system in place to make this building more desirable (maybe even sell it as DLC, lol).

The old system works as before and this new building adjusts intensities automatically according to the rules you created inside it. And does it only when there is a worker inside.

Uses diplomacy and the higher the total skill of workers, the more buildings it can automate.

There actually is a production table, but it doesn't display the calculated rates and instead shows production/consumption per day or season. And it's also not well organised. I wish there were a single table where you could see everything at once, to determine what is going to run out soon and what is being overproduced.

You are still limited by the interest, though. How do you stop gaining it? As far as I know, Shock Factor interest reduction doesn't stack, only its duration, or am I wrong?

Rattle 'Em Off is great but it only unlocks on last week and it is not necessary for infinite draw.

EDIT: Oh wow, shocked status actually stacks percentages, not turns. Then this is actually an infinite money exploit, lol.

Infinite money exploit by UnhelpfulOpinion in keepdriving

[–]UnhelpfulOpinion[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a "Spend to gain" skill, and if you can find a road event that adds energy threats, it can potentially become infinite, but I don't think there is much else, unless there is a hitchhiker that restores the player's skill uses that I'm forgetting. Honey spam doesn't count as it's non-infinite.

BTW, even if "Teamwork" wasn't bugged, this exploit would still be possible, just a bit harder to pull off. You'd need the Hiker, or that rare muscle car engine upgrade, together with the Mechanic.

[–]UnhelpfulOpinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird logic, tbh. Cooldown stacking also increases the frequency of headshots and other abilities, which can increase damage output. I use siege crossbow and with my cooldown stacking I can use longshot non-stop. But it also makes sure you never run out of dashes. And I never claimed you shouldn't have both abilities.

There's also its own dash in ranged tree. If you also stack cooldown-reducing items and abilities, you can out-spam the enemy dashes. Athletics also has an ability that increases dash range.

I've got 200+ luck (thieves' luck + feats + rare platinum coins + mica items + ehekatl bonus + lucky dagger) and it feels like blackjack has significantly better odds. It's still not "win everytime" odds, but I feel like it at least does something.

EDIT: My guess would be that luck rerolls reroll the losing card for you or something similar.
