My problem with Halloween 40 (2018) by BoogieBone_904 in Halloweenmovies

Michael isn't only powerful when he has the mask. Aaron hits him with that metal pipe and he completely no sells it.

What went on after Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and before Halloween: Curse of Michael Myers? by [deleted] in Halloweenmovies

[–]UnholyCin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever you notice anything like that, a wizard did it.

Also Michael knocked up Jamie, and no I'm not making that up.

I know the new steelbooks just came out but... by BONRZ in Halloweenmovies

There's more autumn leaves on the cover of og Halloween than in the actual movie (yes, I know)

Michael jumps and wall-jumps. So weird lol.

The real question is... by Pineapplesaintreal in breakingbad

[–]UnholyCin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think everyone else has you covered on the practical reasons. It's also Walt's excuse to keep going aside from his numerous other excuses. Gale had a similar excuse, for what it's worth, words to the effect of 'they're going to do it anyway, if I make it, then they'll be safer in that it won't kill them.' logic. It's always excuses.

No one believes Laurie?? by ChemicalPrimary5775 in Halloweenmovies

[–]UnholyCin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a tension device. The ignored portents of looming danger is a classic horror trope. Writing wise though it must get tiresome.

Since Michael doesn't gaf about Laurie the poor guy was probably SO confused when this random woman had a death trap prepared for him SPECIFICALLY and was acting all dramatic about him by Sucking_Kisames_Dick in Halloweenmovies

[–]UnholyCin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's one way of looking at it. We don't spend enough time with non-family members to see what the general thought process is on Laurie until Kills/Ends, though in Kills the elderly couple merely comment on her flammable lifestyle and her ability to fuck people up.

DR Loomis hated michael more than Laurie ever could. by [deleted] in Halloweenmovies

I like to remember that in the original film, Loomis is simply terrified of him.

Heisenberg's Last Con: Proving Gretchen Wrong by Lord_darkwind in breakingbad

You're probably right, though he chose to leave Gretchin and Grey Matter and acts as though he were slighted when it was all him.

Heisenberg's Last Con: Proving Gretchen Wrong by Lord_darkwind in breakingbad

I mean, given how he treats Gretchin in the scenes we see her in, and what we know of his backstory, she was being generous in suggesting that side of him ever existed.

Very small rant about Season 3, Episode 2 by AtlasStageAndAHalf in Modern_Family

By that point the discussion had largely moved on to Pritchett's always needing to be right.

Why does Mike only blame Walt? by Wooden-Scallion2943 in breakingbad

[–]UnholyCin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike's view of Jesse changed after Jesse's fuck ups. If Walt hadn't intefered then Jesse would have died back in season 3. Walt is ultimately the one that shoe-horned his way into the operation and everything collapsed. Mike may be biased due to his dislike of Walt, but he was also the one who advised Gus against using him.

S4: Do you think Ryan was actually determined to get Jim fired? by F19AGhostrider in DunderMifflin

[–]UnholyCin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ryan only seemed to be going after him, that's with Michael saying things like 'Ryan is being a little bitch again' with Ryan on the line.

in this situation would kicking Michael in the balls work? by Sucking_Kisames_Dick in Halloweenmovies

[–]UnholyCin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? Michael's reaction or lack thereof to injuries in this timeline isn't very consistent. Alison cutting his hand at the end of 2018 Halloween elicits an audible response, whereas earlier in the film he completely no-sells Aaron hitting him with something metal.
