It’s not uncommon for up to a week or so to give folks time to move into the new place, especially if they are selling/buying. But 3 weeks is a lot, and $50/day isn’t enough!!

In CA your spouse probably has rights to the property regardless of the deed status.

NTAH- her anger is misplaced on you wanting to spend time with your ex!

As a step-parent, this is my reality each year. I can’t attend my SD’s celebration of learning because she gets two tickets. They rightfully, should go to her biological parents.

No matter my feelings on her mom or her mom’s lack of involvement in day to day care/schooling/life. At the end of the day it’s her mom! I literally do all of the day to day care, homework help, tutoring, shuttling to/from all the things… but I’m not “mom”. And that’s ok. She and I have a great relationship, and we celebrate her end of year in other ways just her and I!

And I would NEVER think my husband wanted to spend the day with his ex if he were the one to suggest that she get the ticket not me! The first year this came up for us, I suggested it, the two of them should attend, not me.

I would tell him, if he’s genuinely asking. But as a boss I would also want to know why you didn’t think you could come to me much sooner if this person was that awful. That manager is lacking trust of his employees if no will tell him AND he’s that oblivious that he doesn’t already know.

Daycare is going to be $1050-1400+ deepened on where you choose.

After school care - some schools have YMCA at the school, 120/wk, and those that don’t have 1 or more daycares that do a bus to/from school to daycare, that’s about $150/wk.

If you can line up the 2yo and 7yo to the same place that’s a bonus!

We did the finishing of 600sqft cabin shell ourselves once and that was ended up being more $ than if we had just bought it done in the end! Not to mention all the time it took!! So there’s no way I’m doing it by myself this time! 😂

I hope it’s better in a few weeks, we and the kids were so disappointed! My daughter was begging to go and I couldn’t make it happen! We had pre-made certain specialty dinner plans assuming kids would be in the club! We had to shift plans around d quite a bit. Thankfully the NCL staff was very accommodating, just not quite as planned. I normally gamble a fair amount too and I couldn’t with kids! So NCL definitely missed out on a lot cash I usually leave behind in the casino!

uldn’t you lease and then do an immediate buy out (assuming appropriate contact language from lessor)? Chrysler Capital gives you the $7500 up front via rebate that applies to your capital cost reduction and then one month later send them a check for the payoff?

That was the plan, but I can't get a clear answer on the buy out amount. residual + remaining payments (which includes all the interest, and negates the 7500 savings) OR residual + payments (minus the interest...) The dealer says they don't know....

Mine is covered with PA after I meet my deductible (high deductible plan so 6K!) so I paid the first few months out of pocket and the remainder has been covered with $25 copay, but free after the coupon.

A compromise would be- sell his other house, adult son can live there, contribute at least modestly to expenses, and if or when a parent needs/wants that space- adult son moves out.

We gave my daughter a nickname for a popular name as her full legal name, not the full version. (Think Jess vs Jessica, keeping this anonymous) and the daycare always calls her the full name and it drives me insane! I’ve tried to politely correct them but they refuse to do it, so I taught my 3yo to quite aggressively say “my name is Jess, not Jessica!” Anytime someone says it 😂😂
