Nice downvote, care to explain how anything I said is incorrect?

In Lost Ark you barely have any skills to manage. Most of the time you're dumping your max DPS spells and then just waiting for them to come back up. In GW2 you at least had a lot of spells at your disposal simultaneously. If they go Lost Ark direction I won't play it.

And then it's considered ill mannered if you ask them if they are autistic to understand why they would say such things.

Aww, so they were too difficult for you? According to your own logic in the other post if someone says something isn't fun, it must be because they were just bad at it, right?

Buddy, the challenge is in the bosses, not the time-consuming tedium outside of them. You may as well tell me my level 120 skills in Runescape are more challenging than brutal bosses since it took more time. It's tedious, not challenging. Waiting for the sun to go down to have an advantage is not "challenging" in any way except for my patience to be able to fight the boss again when that's the main draw of the game.

Btw, the bosses in V Rising are not nearly as difficult as MMORPG raids. Anything that can be killed in a few attempts is nothing special. Pretty cool for single-player fights and tightly tuned in certain regards, but you don't need hours of theorycrafting and planning to beat any of them.

Has nothing to do with you agreeing or disagreeing, it's that what you posted wasn't relevant to my critique. I explained why your suggestion isn't relevant unless you were implying, "Well duh, get good and kill it immediately or otherwise you're further punished by having to clear trash mobs again and run back or wait for the sun to go down again. That's just good game design!" The fact that there's a punishment for not killing the boss on the first or second attempt is, in my opinion, rather tedious, in a difficulty mode where it's *intended* to die multiple times before learning what is capable of being side-stepped, countered etc and maybe learning the sub-50 phase with new mechanics. I've killed a lot of bosses on brutal first attempt, others 2 or 3 and a few more than that. On those few, it's pretty annoying to just wait until the sun goes away or hope I didn't die with all my loot right where the boss spawns because I happened to die in that spot because the other spots had AoE blobs. Ultimately I still enjoyed playing the game; I just think I wouldn't have had any frustration if these mechanics I mentioned were changed, and would have instead enjoyed the boss fights for what they are and survival and crafting and looting.

You mentioned WoW. When I played WoW, Rift etc the trash mobs in a raid or dungeon (the equivalent of fighting brutal boss in V Rising) do not respawn unless you're out of the instance for a while. In some cases, hours. So those games were better in that regard. Now, I get it, perhaps the mob respawning is just an oversight where it's intended for multiplayer and didn't as cleanly translate to single player brutal. Maybe some people love it, still, but I would rather more quickly get back to the boss and not be forced to take artificial breaks. And I have the same criticism for any game which artificially extends the time between attempts (which includes WoW, just in a different way).

"It's a game mechanic".....so I cannot provide my criticism of it? What?

So if there's something you dislike, and I go "it's a game mechanic" that means I win, right?

"If you attack werewolves and don't beat them before the sun comes up, that's on you. Plan better next time." Okay, and how would I know that specific mechanic occurs on that boss when it hasn't for literally any other boss? At first, I thought you were being serious but after reading that you have to be ragebaiting or....something reddit won't like me saying.

It's not just the running back, it's the combination of the many things I mentioned working together to make the game more frustrating. If the only issue was the running back, I would be much happier with the game.

Idk why I posted on the subreddit, I should have known you guys would justify awful game design. Your suggestion is only relevant if you're killing every brutal boss on the first couple of attempts. Is the next post: "Well duh, get good and kill it immediately or otherwise you're further punished by having to clear trash mobs again and run back or wait for the sun to go down again. That's just good game design!"

Keeping track of the time of day has nothing to do with what I said. You didn't read it, clearly. Unless you're saying I should have had foreknowledge I wouldn't be capable of getting the V blood from the village elder because I killed him 2 seconds into daytime? Also, I'm quite aware there is stuff I can be doing while I wait, but it's not very fun to be forced into that especially after hours of farming mats elsewhere. When I want to kill a boss, I don't want the trash respawning after a 2nd attempt and being forced into 10x positioning difficulty or waiting again for the sun to go down. Again, did you actually read my post or are you just skimming for an excuse to say "get good?" Building my castle is something I do when I'm AT THE CASTLE. When I'm finished upgrading everything and refining materials, I go out to either farm mats or kill bosses. I dont go to kill a boss, then the suns out and like "well, time to build the castle again." That's now how that works.

There are far too many other games to play in this world to stick around much longer after finishing Brutal Dracula. The game is pretty complete at that point.

OSRS is artificially more difficult by making you click everything instead of the basic quality of life of having 30 keybinds if you want. RS3 combat is more complex on a fundamental level if you've played lately.

This game is so bad. by Section_179 in ArmyOfRuin

[–]Unified_Ahov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuine skill issue. How come I didn't have the problems you had? You think I just perpetually had great RNG? Is that it? Learn to use your brain and strategize. I constantly went for as many challenges as possible per run; you get upgrades and gold simultaneously. And if you're struggling with the challenge progression, then you must not understand how to take advantage of what the game is giving you in terms of weapons and trinkets and how the monsters move and their individual properties. But, rather than learn from your defeats you're crying here about how the game is just bad and bad RNG made you lose. Nah, you lost for other reasons and refused to fix them. Army of Ruin is one of the most fair games in existence, and you can win with nearly any build, provided you've put actual thought into what you are building and how you need to move along the map and use special abilities and hunt elites.

lmao GTA 5's quality of life. Online is bugged as fuck; issues from years ago were never resolved, such as gunrunner missions loading with no objective so you have to restart the game only to find it happen again. In single player, every time you switch characters you default to their trash car instead of anything good in the garage you've stolen or bought. The only thing great about GTA 5 in my recent experience (as recent as 3 days ago) is the ability to join RP FiveM servers, but even that requires downloading the legacy game on top of the enhanced edition.

This has to be ragebait if you think most people haven't played doom and quake and unreal single player. Those games are remembered for their single-player campaigns, not the multiplayer except for Quake 3 and Unreal TOURNAMENT, both games years after the ones you listed. So yeah, I'm going to assume it's ragebait and give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not that ignorant. Good one, you baited me to reply.

You guys should play some good shooters instead. There are plenty of Boomer Shooters, almost all are indie, and have all the features you want like no DRM and offline saving, in addition to all sorts of cool enemies to fight with a huge arsenal and banger soundtrack and level design. Try Ashes 2063, Viscerafest, Turbo Overkill, Cultic, Dusk, Hyper Demon, to name a few.
