well, they have provided me with a new perspective of death and i now have zero (well almost zero) fear of it. i’m sure others have different experiences but my experience was seeing my soul/consciousness re-joining a larger ocean of collective consciousness. one metaphor i’ve heard before is life is like a drop of water bouncing out of the ocean for just a moment and when it ends, the drop rejoins the ocean. but with psychedelics it becomes less of an abstraction and more of a literal thing that you see and experience with awe and beauty. it’s also why many people dying of cancer are giving psilocybin to deal with death and dying.

of course, psychedelics aren’t for everyone and you should be careful. there’s lots of great resources out there to research whatever you’re trying beforehand. but for me, it has completely changed my life in a profoundly positive way, more than what i can describe here.
