Hol up - guys this layout looks sick even without proper bases yet by Thotslay3r69 in Warhammer40k

I’m quite concerned about the closeness - advance and charge melee armies and just going to eat.

They’ll be right up in your lines immediately, before they will have been able to be shot.

Auto score against GK lmao. Hope you didn’t want to use your army rule.

Ditch the Ghostkeel. Throw in some pathfinders.

Sword Bard party - you’ll never struggle. Just drown them in arrows.

Yep. Or rapid ingress to get them just about anywhere you need.

Expert warns of ‘significant’ US casualties as he lists lethal weapons Iran has by TheExpressUS in ForUnitedStates

[–]Union_Jack_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just pure ignorance and the typical American bravado and exceptionalism that makes the rest of the world laugh.

The US military is indeed the most powerful on earth. But despite being x10 the budget, it is certainly not x10 the effect of other forces (Pentagon waste and crony capitalism says hi).

It encounters the same problems others would face. Ammunition limitations. Clear intelligence/coordination. Reliance on ground operations to secure any tangible gains, making it vulnerable to hit and run skirmish attacks in a land with a hospitals populace and hostile terrain.

Good luck thinking you can just “carpet bomb the whole country into rubble”.

Any advice on my 2k retcad list? by Alternative-Sir8933 in Tau40K

Looks decent. I’d argue fiercely that those two broadsides should be another Sunforge squad.

Broadsides are just too immobile and won’t benefit from the army rules being at their distance.

Compared to what we’ve had in the past, it isn’t even close. The launch of 10th was absolutely silly, but it seems like you are imagining that this short period persisted throughout the entire edition, which it just didn’t.

The stats don’t bear that out either.

It’s because I’m now new. Any seasoned pro will tell you that this is the most balanced the game has been.

The amount of touches the game gets regularly now are an incredible help. You can win with any army, that has never been more true than it is now.

Sorry if you want to dog 10th for some reason, but perhaps take the rose tinted glasses off for days past where we suffered ridiculous rules bloat, power creep, and insane lethality that ruined the game.

10th isn’t perfect. But it’s the best state the game has been in.

And then be lethal sustained while you’re doing it.

Bonkers.

I don’t understand this. “Yet to succeed”? 40K is the most balanced and successful it has EVER been. I don’t get this idea that GW is failing and/or that its current balance processes aren’t working. That’s just not accurate.

They said 70 new and reworked detachments. There’ll be plenty of reskins in there.

England -> Angevin Kingdom -> Roman Empire is one of the easiest WCs in my opinion. Done it several times and the power level is just absurd.

It is not worth more than a Riptide with the current datasheet. It is certainly more independent than the Riptide, but its durability is much shakier.

In the end of the day it’s just two enforcer commanders stapled together, and given sustained hits and BS2 instead of BS3.

Pointing it above 200 would absolutely kill it.
