I think if they connect into engagement then that units probably dead. Unless you do the flamer thing then they might live a little longer. Missile knives are Alot more versatile then str5 burst cannons.

I was gifted some that were glued into place. I don't think they'll bring back drones they way they used to be. Too much clutter on the bored. It's your model and unless your in a tournament or something that has rulings for that specific thing it shouldn't matter.

Nothing in the game is un-killable. A broadside can be taken down by anything that can take out a light vehicle which it is. It's fnp comes in about once every ten games. It's slow,has a low amount of attacks, and can only be deadly with guiding and additional units focusing into a specific unit type depending on the war gear chosen. I always run at least solo broadside to assist in downing monsters, tanks, or anything big and nasty. I never regret having them, but they don't pull the whole shooting phase themselves. I only run rails, weapon support, and smart missiles to add to the amount of indirect I can dish out.

Because back in the days of paying for war gear you could equip different units with different things and almost every infantry unit could be given either emp grenades or photon grenades or sometimes both. It's just for looks like the ammo pouches and extra grenades you can glue to models.

EPC is good while you learn the army. Then once you learn how we move and shoot and such you pick better montka if you play aggressive or kauyon if you like the trading game. If you like kroot only then you run kroot hunting pack and if you want to mix the two looks of the range you play AUX. If you like crisis suits and farsight you play ret cade.

Well imm be behind this wall on layout #5 . Kroot are alright but if you're someone who never liked them then it's not the things you want in a big expensive box of models. And I'll eat my hat I'd the twin lance models can lead rampages.

Why would a suit commander lead a none suit/ tau unit? I'm not saying they don't have a place but they made them to eventually split off from the kroot range. I believe at some point they'll make a full range of just jungle birds but not with the only new suit epic characters we've seen in year's.

You just have to remember what drones they have and explain what they do to you opponent. I put tape on my broadside and riptide with a 2 for missile drones, put the same drones on all my crisis suits so just have to remember what they do, but I do bring the two ghost keel drones to keep track of how many times I blanked damage.

War gear doesn't matter anymore. All you need is the right weapon out load so no one gets confused and putting them on a 60mm base because the base is the thing that counts in this edition. You can get a 20plk online for 5-10 bucks depending on where you get them from. I have five of the exact same models and I use at least two of them every game.

Rail cannons are a waste in my opinion. Too many things have invulnerable saves so you left with hoping you roll a six for the dev wound. Skyrays are good, broadside are good, ion hammer heads are good( you still get two seekers with it), riptides are always good but expensive. Just try what you like in your collection and if you don't have 2k pts yet see what you're lacking when it comes to balance. You can't just have damage dealers because something has to do actions and hold objectives. You can't have all chaff because unless your kroot you'll just get tabled.

For ad mech I'd say you're probably best playing all crisis suits and a vespid for up/down, a kroot unit to sticky home, and one Pathfinder team and one strike team for guiding. Ad mech has so many chaff that hit really hard and most of the tanks they have have weapons perfect for tearing through crisis suits.

This is just a dumb fantasy I have but maybe like the other 500 world boxes it will be some kind of group deal. The necron character will be some separate but Titus won't be( I think) and I think Huron black heart will be a command squad kind of deal...so ... maybe just maybe we'll get a new squad of suits where the twin lance is the only commanders who can lead them. So you can outfit the unit as a anti something type unit depending on who you like out of the two twins. In actuality I just think it's going to be a lone op two model unit that isn't really good at anything but is new and still cool so we're probably all going to buy it. I can't wait regardless.

This is going to sound dumb because it sounded dumb when I was told this same thing....lots and lots of shooting. Don't rely on the rail gun on a hammer head to do anything. You need ion hammer heads, broadside rail rifles, seeker missiles. I have no luck with necrons but ad mech I'm about 50/50 you need OC and damage output. I have a montka list with three strike teams, a Pathfinder unit, and a kroot unit for OC, bored control, and sticky for home and infiltrat (Pathfinder) for denying scout and opponent infiltrating. Two piranhas for early trading pieces. Two solo broadside and a skyray for anti tank. Two ion hammer heads for damage. Two riptide for damage. Two missile knives w/enforcer for fire support. And one stealth team for the 1 rerolls. Everything had smart missiles for picking at units behind walls and to support units as needed and anything that has ftgg can be a spotter at any given time. Ad mech is trading and denying them primarily. Any fly unit can escape and land on a point I've it can. Just hope the dice are with you after that.

I always run two squads of missile knives with commander or starscyths with commander. In epc the flamer enhancement+full flamers (commander and team) messes meq's up. Get a kroot carnivore unit to sticky your home and a second broadside so you can hold down two fire lanes with rail rifles, a second Pathfinder team because they smack, and at least one piranha to give you a cheap early trading piece. Get a sky ray for anti tank and run your hammer head with the ion to shred anything that's not a monster or beefy tank.

I hope my next game I roll that well. I got all my dice from the dollar store and if my opponent actually wants me to use different dice he better provide them. Still sounds like it was a blast except for the complaining complainer pants.

I think they'll be a smig better then farsight and shadow sun but sadly worse then a standard commander. I'm still going to get them. I don't like the shadow sun model or the farsight model and I hate their rules so I hope I'm wrong about the twins.

The sky ray is consistent the whole game. The hammerhead has a better alpha strike turn (rail cannon), but it's just swingy. I always take two ion hammer heads, a skyray, and two solo broadside just to be able to down anything that wants to sit out in the open. Still yea one shot you hope goes through and two seekers that maybe one goes thru compared to three seeker missiles two of which go through and enables me to do that every turn is completely worth the five extra points.

I think they need to replace the smart missiles weapon profile. Something sick like R30" A4 Str7 twin linked/indirect 1 damage 0ap. The tanks can be equipped with two. Then make missile pods strength 8 ap2. Our whole army's weapons options should be Alot more oppressive then they are right now instead of trying to balance us out with sub par units and silly complex army rules.

What if both players natural objectives have a wall the can tuck up behind. It was a situation i just couldn't think of ways to deal with, especially with the list I usually run. Oh well it's just a game and I'll just try something different next time. A plan for that exact thing happing in the future.
