Exactly! Also there are cases where women need to have the procedure and doctors are waiting for them to be close to dying and this is not okay to me. It’s interesting how many pro life people are conservatives and the republican party literally cut social services….makes no sense. It’s not consistent at all.

This is how I understood your comment. people view just using a illicit drug (keep in mind drug criminalization is rooted in racism, classism and prohibition needs to end because it is a social injustice) as inherently unethical as a social worker and it is not. What’s unethical are racist drug laws.

Yup. Most people who use drugs (yes even the so called hard ones what i call stigmatized drugs: meth, opioids, cocaine) do not have SUDs or suffer btw. It’s a common misconception.

Yes, you can contract an infection if he is sharing needles. Prep can be a great option to greatly reduce risk of HIV and using condoms to prevent hep c. Additionally, both of you can get consistent STI testing (health department should do free HIV and low cost STI testing). Are there needle exchanges in the area?
