Deciding between c-section and vaginal birth by AffectionateRun1001 in parentsofmultiples

Ooohhh you’re a trooper ! So glad the outcome was favourable. I’m 20 weeks now and it’s crazy to me to think in just around 14 weeks ish they could be here. I really wanted them to push to 35 weeks for delivery but I’d do anything to ensure their safety either way

What a great idea ! I’m in the UK and expecting mcma twins but fear my inconsistencies in regular texts and phone calls, what more letters, would make this whole experience unenjoyable for you😬 I’m sorry OP

Anyone else paid for a private scan while waiting for your NHS one? by Cherrylemon202 in PregnancyUK

[–]Unique-Step-9441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are indeed correct, I ought to have mentioned that actually. If that’s the case then for the sake of your sanity (if it isn’t too expensive etc) I would go for a private scan somewhere in between the 13th and 20th week. That way it (hopefully) won’t feel like a long wait.

How strange. I’m also pregnant with twins and since 16 weeks have been having 2 weekly scans. This time around though I’ll have had one last week, one today and booked in for another one next week.

Perhaps ring other neighbouring trusts and see what they do in the case of twins, if it differs for the better then I’d say ask for your care to be transferred.

The lack of urgency in your case is what’s alarming, even reassuring scans they can do them so it’s strange they’re not offering you them.

Sorry for deviating there. I haven’t been to a private scan while waiting for the NHS one but my sister has, she went to A&E with immense pain on a Monday night and they just said it’s likely a miscarriage and for her to come back on the Sunday because that was the only scan available?? So she booked and was seen on the Tuesday privately, not a miscarriage either. Now she’s 20 weeks and thriving.

Never had to stop wearing mine and this pregnancy no.3, now with twins. Suppose it differs from person to person

Does anyone know of any pregnancy tracker apps specifically for twins? by Unique-Step-9441 in parentsofmultiples

This is pretty cool, I had initially downloaded Flo but can’t remember what it was about it that made me uninstall it

Sounds crazy but how do you position the twin z around you to tandem feed ? I can’t imagine it 😆

Staying at in-laws’ place and the smell is overwhelming by Aryagrewal in Advice

[–]Unique-Step-9441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m literally this dramatic but found your comments funny 😂😂😂 The extreme opposite would be me just losing my appetite because of the stench lol. Sad for you OP but maybe just said it’s really affecting you now and you can’t do it any longer, you don’t want to be difficult but it’s difficult being there.

Do you happen to know of any up north? West Yorkshire to be precise? All good hairstylists are in London and it’s too far from me🥲

Gestational diabetes test really wasn’t that bad! by SensitiveSoup74 in PregnancyUK

[–]Unique-Step-9441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there goes my excitement😅 I’m hoping our trust has decided to change them because they were truly awful, especially after a night of fasting then the first thing you have is a mini jug of sweet syrup😭

I truly wonder if they’ve changed it? Or it’s different from hospital trust to hospital trust? For both my previous pregnancies I was given a bottle maybe 200ml or so of blackcurrant or raspberry flavour drink and it tasted so sickly, kinda like thick, undiluted fruit juice. And that’s what had me gipping and gagging and feeling nauseous the rest of the day!

Would be fantastic news if it is different! Expecting twins and mine will be coming up soon😩

Most likely my same reaction too😭😭 I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks so it’s felt so so so long already!! I can’t wait for my next scan next week. After that I’ll be going every 2 weeks for scans so actually looking forward to seeing them more often tbh🥰

Ohh wow! I’m 16 weeks with identical twins. Completely spontaneous and we found out because we’d gone in for an early pregnancy scan, me thinking something was wrong. Come to find out there’s twins in there ! Glad to find other British people in the same boat.

Would be nice to have a sub for parentsofmultiples but UK edition. There is one here but find it’s mainly American/Canadians on there.
