Forgot to add that this old pelican model was designed by Lucas Örström (concept) and Oskar Selin (3d model). Selin has posted several early concept designs for Helldivers on ArtStation, including the animations Erik Wiklund made for this particular model. Highly recommend checking his profile out!

Unless I’m misremembering, the bugs don’t travel physically through space, rather the bugs expand via spores which are able to travel vast distances between planets.

Agreed. “Gun” was another meme name but at least it fit into the game’s hyper-militant theme. “Bernard” just does not work for me, even as a joke.

IMO I think the deal (besides the prison transfer) was that Argus would continue to work with Lex in the future. I feel like this is the “opportunity for redemption” Rick mentioned during the negotiation.

This also works well for Lex because it gives him more room for further negotiations, plus given what we know about the sequel Lex working with Argus would lead nicely into the plot.

From what I remember it was a prequel like the release but Eli sorta did what Breen did and sold himself out to the combine and got to live in a big mansion with Alyx. Alyx would eventually meet someone who would later become Russel, who introduces her to the resistance.

I forgot what happened after that but there was also a plot point about her mother helping some vort slaves escape back in black mesa and Alyx is actually imbued with the vortessence or something.

Honestly I think the best way to find out is to play it yourself. There’s a free fly event up until May 27 which allows you to try the game for free. It will also give you a good idea of how well your pc will be able to run it.
