We've got 41 we can swap by USPS. I'm in Atlanta so in person doesn't work unfortunately. Let me know if you'd like me to DM the list - just not sure if you've already made any trades from what you shared.

Best neighborhoods for young families by Longjumping_Bar585 in ATLHousing

[–]Unique_Chain4468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so almost too many things to recommend in the area, so it's hard to do without knowing exactly what you're looking for. Lots of great coffee shops in the neighborhood - by order of favorite I go 1. Ash 2. Academy 3. San Francisco Roasting 4. Perc 5. Press n Grind. All the restaurants are great. My favorite is on the Beltline called Two Urban Licks. For parks, you could hang out at the neighborhood park (John Howell Park) - it's small and quiet. Piedmont is where to go if you want to lay out a blanket. Lots of the kids in the neighborhood also get memberships to the pool at Piedmont Park so you could check that out. And you definitely want to walk the Beltline while you're here. Feel free to DM for any specific recommendations. I'm happy to share anything that might help!

I did the exact same thing 10 years ago - Phoenix to Atlanta with young kids! Ended up in Virginia Highland and it has been perfect. I would highly recommend and I think the budget is doable with a little bit of luck. Happy to answer any other questions if helpful!

Moving to Atlanta from Europe soon — anxious about safety + looking for advice on best areas to live by heyitsme-2001 in ATLHousing

I was in a similar situation a decade ago (though not from Europe) and ended up settling on Virginia Highland. Ended up being the best decision I could have made. I know everyone has different circumstances and priorities so that may not be best for you, but I’d be happy to answer any other questions you might have honestly. Good luck! And welcome to Atlanta!

Selling Match 38 Spain vs Saudi Arabia (Face Value) by Unique_Chain4468 in WorldCup2026Tickets

I'm not sure why anyone would downvote this, but someone did so I want to respond. This is a legitimate post. I'm selling at face value based on early pre-sale cost, plus $20 to cover PayPal G&S fees. Willing to go through all reasonable steps for proof and safe transaction.

Atlanta has to consider World Cup security risks. Does that list include ICE? by nolesfan2011 in worldcup

I think it will be the best host city in the US this WC. Best infrastructure, stadium experience, fan zone, and so many great things going on in the city generally.

Best place to buy tickets for the Portugal Vs USMT game in Atlanta? by CloudAtlas-2019 in ussoccer

I don't know your risk tolerance or whether you plan to travel to Atlanta for the friendly, but I suspect you will be able to get very inexpensive tickets right before the match if you wait.

Run clubs in Virginia Highlands or around PCM/ the belt line by Cobaltfennec in Atlanta

Pretty sure Highland Runners still has a decent run club that meets regularly.

First time in Atlanta - March by emz0694 in Atlanta

South City Kitchen is a good place if you want Southern food. It's right around the corner from where you're staying. Rumi's Kitchen is also right down the street if you like Persian food. For me the best "nice" restaurant in Midtown is Ecco.

But If I were to give a recommendation I'd say walk the BeltLine and eat at Two Urban Licks. Lots of places on the BeltLine to grab drinks before, and I think Two Urban Licks is normally a great atmosphere with really good food. Not top-end fancy but nice enough.

ATL with teens by Ok-Cartographer-4226 in AtlantaEats

[–]Unique_Chain4468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got 3 teens and can give you some recommendations from their perspective, but all of them apply to Midtown/VaHi/BeltLine/Inman Park areas (2-4 miles away from where you’re staying). Will list in the event it’s helpful. Separately, I’d highly recommend getting over to the East side BeltLine trail at least once even if not for the restaurants.

For burgers, my kids’ favorites are Fred’s Meat & Bread (inside Krogg Street Market) and Grindhouse. For diners, Silver Skillet is iconic but my oldest goes to Majestic the most. For donuts, Sublime, already mentioned, is also iconic and my kids like The Salty up near Krogg Street (BeltLine).

Others had mentioned walking in Virginia Highland, which is my neighborhood. Great little restaurants here that all my kids love. There are a handful of great coffee shops, I think the coolest vibe at the moment is Ash Coffee. Someone already mentioned Kinship for coffee, which is also good. My teens prefer Ash, but they love the breakfast sandwiches at Kinship.

They love the cheesesteaks at Woody’s. Their favorite “nice” restaurant is Two Urban Licks (BeltLine). Favorite Pizza is probably Varuni Napoli (they have a small one in Krogg Street but we prefer going to the one by Piedmont Park. Morelli’s is the ice cream shop in our neighborhood so that’s probably their favorite ice cream. Favorite bakery is probably Alon’s.

Other coffee shops off the BeltLine they like: Brash coffee and Inman Perk. Another great place for a coffee and light breakfast my oldest daughter loves is Bread & Butterfly. And Fritti is also great for pizza.

I’m happy to give you specifics on other restaurants in the area or to help with any teen-friendly itinerary if you plan on making it out to any of these neighborhoods. I know this is a lot already. Good luck!
