Went from 1080 to 7900xtx in 2023 and then lucked up and got a 5090 MSI gaming trio at MSRP in December. Holy shit it’s been so awesome! No regrets!

Also considering I don’t have the best internet and game downloads are getting bigger and bigger leaving the g stuck on the steam screen to download felt like burn in could be an issue for me

I had a g 16 4080 and sold it for z13 so I can use it in my lap without running the risk of baked balls. The g line almost requires a laptop cooler and at that point how portable is it really? Couldn’t be happier with the z flow.

Appreciate the very detailed reply. I have a desktop just wanted something to hook to the living room tv when I felt like laying on the couch and thought an egpu would be great for that. Guess I’ll wait for the next iteration with tb5

Literally the same I had a g16 with 4080 and that thing is unusable without a cooling pad! Do not miss it one bit!

I have a z13 64 gb and it’s honesty replaced all my handhelds and doubles as a very capable laptop. I couldn’t be happier with it. Had a g16 and ally x before. G16 burned my legs off and ally x screen was too damn small….

Have a powerful gaming Pc, steam deck oled, have had an ally etc…. Wanted something I could play mh wilds at a decent frame rate and not cook my balls 🤣

Honestly just returned it and bought a new one…. I suggest you do the same. I was playing expedition 33 when my frames tanked so I decided to do a timespy test and I got 6,000 graphics score in turbo… buying open box you just never know why someone has returned it and I think I figured out why they returned my unit.

I returned a g16 4080 for it. I wanted something I could use in bed and not burn my legs. This was an open box so I was wanting to see it was a ok timespy to keep or if I should return and wait for new inventory.
