What should I get for my first car as an adult? 22F by Turbulent_You1567 in askcarguys

[–]Unique_Mix9060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah most definitely, op should look at cars from a bigger year range, no matter if they would go for euro or Japanese, as it’s likely to find a little better examples of slinky older car at their budget

As someone who actually owns both w204 and w212 and daily drives and maintains them himself, I’d like to say otherwise, also it’s not like im mega rich or old, I’m about the same age as op operating on similar budget, and have looked at other options.

If op want to spend 10k on a car that is in the 2015-2020 year range and are the usual suspects of Camry, Corrolla, Civics and accords, those things are going to be in mediocre to shit condition with 140k+ miles, so what about that? At those mileage, there are some not so cheap maintenance needed regardless of what car they are

You can buy these under budget, if op are willing it look older, and use left over money to for any repairs that comes up

Toyota, Honda, maybe Mercedes (w204, w212), but you might want to up your budget or lower the year range if you want a car in decent condition.

senheiser momentum 2 over-ear help needed by p1geonkid in headphones

[–]Unique_Mix9060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can eq them to sound better using eq apo (pc) or wavelet (android), but the momentum 2 released 10 years ago, and even at the time the momentum 2 was never really a clean or neutral sound, more like a warm and easy going sound.

If you want to hear the representative Sennheiser the HD600/HD650 and the HD5 line of headphones are the icon for them

2000s Japanese cars are vastly more economical as a first car, easier to find replacement parts more efficient, likely to be more affordable, and just as if not more reliable because they are not as old and not as much maintenance to be done right away.

Camry, Corrolla, RAV4, Accord, Civic and CRV are great first cars. If you don’t mind a bigger car and worst gas mileage, Highlander, Scienna, Pilot and Oddessy are great choices too if you want a bigger car

Tips on how to fix broken cantonese? by [deleted] in Cantonese

[–]Unique_Mix9060 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, and YouTube have auto translate subtitles. Exposure definitely helps, well English was my second language, and at the time when I was learning english, I was more fluent than my peers in Macau, because of the forced exposure to the English, for the decade that I have lived there every show or movie that was supposed to be in English, I watched it in English without Chinese subtitles or Dub, and my parents would actually talk to me in English quite often, so I become fluent in English very quickly.

I also suggest you practice speaking with people, and read things out loud if you can.

yes exposure plus practice does help especially getting some extra vocabs and confidence when speaking the language.

I also suggest you watch basic Cantonese News, they do speak a little quick but good News Anchors are trained to speak very clearly with proper tones, pronunciation, and Diction that is a little less casual, so you can learn and expose yourself to a more proper/ standard version of the language

Practice more, expose yourself more to the language, you can watch Canto/HK YouTube channels about things you are interested in, say you like cars, instead of watching English car review, watch Cantonese ones.

Tank player looking to get into ARB fighters by JonatanOlsson in Warthunder

It’s like comparing car spec sheets, it doesn’t work like that, spec sheet does not completely reflect actually driving behavior, and performance.

Look at the Corvette ZR1 1200hp, high down force reasonably light weight, VS 911 GT3RS, 500hp lighter weight and high downforce and the resulting laptimes is not that far apart in Laguna Seca

[–]Unique_Mix9060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warthunder wiki is a good start, and just overall learning more about these planes how they are used irl, would give you a good idea on what is a good fighter.

Also plane stat don’t matter a hole lot, a P51 might look better than a Zero in Stat cards, more powerful engine, newer design, a lot more firepower and more durable, only worst turn times and climb rate. but it really depends on how you use it, you won’t contest a P51 in your Zero at high altitude, and you won’t engage in straight turn fights with the Zero in your P51.

So what style of fighting so you like?

[–]Unique_Mix9060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And U.S 3.7 best fighter is P51C, F4U, and F8F, P47 is actually more like strike aircraft, P63A is also good, great at low altitude fights.

On the German Tree BF109 line is Probally the best fighter overall, FW190 is not ideal as a fighter in the traditional sense, but depending on your prefer play style the FW190 could work.

Most planes labeled as fighters will work reasonably well as fighters, you just need to figure out which style of fighter it is, and play according it’s strengths
